How come the Rockies are great at home but suck on the road ????

Are they just that much more familar with their home park and that helps them ?

I mean I get that its a great place to hit....
Tulo is hitting .600 at home and .250 on the road.
But when they play at home, the opposing team gets to hit in the same park.

Are Rockies pitchers just much more equiped to pitch in those conditions?

their more used to playing in the altitude. Same thing with the Nuggets at home in the NBA, Denver is always a tough place to play.

    no doubt.

That first weekend of June the Rockies are at home against the Dodgers... yall think the Rockies can sweep?

It will be interesting to see how Greinke and Kershaw pitch at high altitude.. i know theyve done before but this years Rockies line-up is more potent than ever.

Rocks let it get in their heads too much that this is their historical pattern . Although they have been better at it this year they still need to get mentally tougher . Their starters have been solid and the losses have for the most part been low scoring . Also they just faced Cueto and Shields . If their bats can get over the road hump these boys will do some damage .

Takes the body time to adjust the the altitude, once a visitors player gets used to it they are on their way out of town.

Took me about 3 days to adjust when I went to denver. An athlete could probably adjust quicker.

Visiting teams lethargic. Combination of altitude and overindulging in the legal marijuana.

They're also built like a softball team. They have pitchers best suited for their park. You get a guy who can only throw fastballs and curve balls and stick him in Coors he's going to get drilled. See Drew Pomeranz...

yep now Pomeranz is dealing in Oakland. It could also have something to do with a change in mechanics or something.

BTW i think the Rockies sweep the Padres this weekend.

    This.

Curve ball don't bite a lot in Coors, a lot of pitchers end up hanging their curve ball.
