Dayton +10 is the play tonight
Florida will win, they have failed 3 straight Elite 8s in pushing through to the Final Four. But Dayton will make them earn it. When you fail 3 straight times at something, it gets into your head, and is a monkey on your back. Pressure is all on Florida tonight, Dayton playing with house money. Dayton will play a little more lose and relaxed. Florida is determined though so they will win but it won't be by double digits.
Tough game, probably come down to the wire as far as Florida covering. UCLA has far more weapons then Dayton. Florida full court D should be more imposing with Dayton only having two days rest.

Doesn't this just kind of remind you of last year's Final Four game between Louisville and Wichita State? Similar line, similar situation.

Think you are right 10 points is too many to lay . Dayton has looked pretty good BUT so did Baylor . But I am taking the 10 points.

Florida should also be tired playing full court D after 2 days rest. Look at Louisville last night. They could only play full court D for the first 15 min and then they got tired and Kentucky caught up.
Im not so sure about that. Dayton is very versatile, every guy can handle the ball, pass, shoot, rebound, and screen.
Sitting this one out and just rooting for a Dayton upset. I can see Florida still covering even with a respectable Dayton effort, but man a Flyer win would be epic for that program.
Agree other games it reminds me of is Davidson-Kansas in 2008 though Dayton doesn't have a Steph Curry, also VCU-Kansas in 2011 is another similar matchup
Over is a better play to me. Line seems about spot on. Doubtful to me that Florida squanders this opportunity. Dayton has had a nice run, but have not played anyone with the balance the Gators have. It's not quite a far comparison, but VCU is a team Dayton played that brings full court pressure. Dayton was overwhelmed and turned it over 19 times. 14 pt. loss. If FLA is knocking down shots to set up their pressure, it could be a long night for the Flyers.
Considering FLA found a way to post an 11 pt win vs. UCLA who kept the game close throughout and has much more balanced scoring and was a bigger mismatch for FLA than Dayton, I'd say it's more likely FLA is going to cover. Don't see the edge for Dayton really.
I disagree about the comparisons with past power teams and "mid Majors" ... other than the seeding dictates it.
Elite Eight is a little less intense than the Final Four though. However, that is a reasonable comparison.
If you are taking Dayton plus the points, if Dayton covers there is very high probability it goes over. A little parlay might be a good play.

Two completely different teams with absolutely zero reason to compare.
Dayton plays defense and is coached better. They're also much better in the half court. They don't have any star's per se, but they do everything as a team. Defend as a team, rebound as a team, score as a team.
I really can't get a read on this game. The fact that Florida aren't immense scorers, and tend to defend with a vengence, low scoring seems likely. 10 points is a lot in a low scoring possession game.
As long as Dayton takes care of the ball, 10 points will be nice to have.
The Gators have consistently taken down Cinderella the last decade. Donovan knows how to get up for these mid majors. Dayton team total under is a good play. Florida's defense is going to be stifling against this team.
I actually gave 10 points here, which is something I very rarely do.

I took Dayton +6 1st half and over 61. Probably chase 2nd half if either one loses. Dayton I think can keep this thing close most the game.

Another half to go yet, but like I said in another post, Florida is in a different league than Dayton. Dayton's only hope is a back door cover. It's not that Dayton's playing bad, guys....it's that Florida is this good. Dayton hasn't played a team like this yet.
Amazing how ordinary to average these coaches are when every shot is not going in and they actually have to coach.
This. I actually liked Dayton last three games, today it is Midnight for Cinderella.
