How to make a team

• Rank in the top 8 for points won during the WSOP Freeroll Series. SBRforum join date will act as tiebreaker. (current leaderboard)

• A ninth place 'wild card' will be assigned to each team. This poster will be a player that did not rank within the top 8, but has 1. achieved a minimum of 500 points from playing during the WSOP Freeroll Series, 2. has the highest post count within his region.

Playing Schedule (July 4th — July 7th)

• Nine tournaments per day registering from 12:00PM-8:00PM EDT (view schedule). Each event will be password protected. Your SBR Poker usernames will be altered to include your region.
• 4 players per tournament (1 player from each region). It will be the responsibility of each team to decide amongst each other which time interval suits them best. Players may compete in only one tournament per day. In the event that multiple players within a region enter the same tournament, no points will be earned for their team. Players may not share the password with players that have not qualified under any circumstance - no points will be counted for that region.

Scoring details

• Each tournament will award 2 points for the winning poster's team, and 1 point for the runner-ups team. Co-champions will be crowned in the event of a tie with an equal division of the pot.
• A leaderboard will be maintained in Players Talk showing how many points each team has.

What happens if a team member knows in advance that they can't play one, some or all the days? Is there a provision for an alternate or substitute or does the team just forfeit that match? With it being a holiday in the USA and summer vacation time for much of the world, it seems a real possibility.

I'll volunteer for Team USA alternate if I can't win my way in!

This post makes no sense. I will play you Poker one on one if you think you are better than me. And we will only use plastic cards not this rigged poker software SBR is using. So put up or shut up.

does the 90% of sbr (400-500 other players) just sit back an entire month of july and not play poker? this seems really silly to me. giving 50K to 36 people is quite lucky for them and very unlucky for the rest of us loyal posters.

There are no team captains. Only the qualified players can play. Anyone who shares the password on their own accord is going to cause their team to be penalized and not receive points for that game.

We realize attendance might not be 100% for each of the 36 tournaments -- that's expected. There will be no subs because the prize-pool is only for the qualified players.
