Tough to argue against Norman but damn that Falcons collapse was brutal.

Only one game ever left me as shell shocked as this one did:

Only one game I ever saw could match this game for a turnaround. 1974 ND vs. Southern Cal. The Anthony Davis Game.
Tommy Clements was the ND QB 4th in the Heisman voting, Anthony Davis the SC running back was 2nd in the Heisman.
Both teams were Ranked in the top 4 in the nation as the game started. Nov. 30, 1974

'Notre Dame had a 24-0 lead just a minute before the end of the first
half. A Davis scored just before halftime (and missed the conversion) to
make the score 24-6 at the half. Coach McKay is quoted as having said
during halftime something like “Gentlemen, if you block like you should, Anothony Davis will
carry the second-half kickoff back for a score, and we’ll go on from there. Let’s go!!” USC’s Anthony Davis
took the second half kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, and the comeback was on. The
Trojans scored 55 unanswered points in only 17 minutes!!! The Trojans
won the game 55-24. Father Theodore Hesburgh, the Notre Dame president,
congratulated Coach John McKay after the game, then added, “That wasn’t a
very nice thing for a Catholic to do.” Replied McKay: “Father, that
serves you right for hiring a Presbyterian (Coach Ara Parseghian).”
Neither team was a “cream puff”. USC went on to win the Rose Bowl and
the UPI and MacArthur Bowl National Championships, and Notre Dame went
on to ruin Alabama’s National Championship hopes in the Orange Bowl.

    A Davis:
With 10 seconds remaining before halftime, Davis scored on a seven-yard pass from Pat Haden.
The two-point conversion failed, and the Trojans trailed 24-6 at the half.

Davis took the opening kick of the second half 102 yards to open the floodgates for USC,
which scored 35 points in the third quarter.

With only 3:25 elapsed in the third quarter Davis scored a third touchdown on a six-yard run.
Then with 8:37 left in the third, Davis added his fourth and final touchdown of the game on a four-yard dash, then
added a two-point conversion to give the Trojans a 27-24 lead, with Davis accounting for 26 of USC's 27 points.'

Of course, a big comeback, but far from being the largest. The probabilities reached 99.5% of Falcons win at its highest point. I often see basketball games going over 99% and then loss. Maybe biggest collapse ever was on last year March Madness, Northern Iowa was leading Texas A&M 69-57 with 35 seconds left on regulation, probabilities were 99.99%, then allowed the game to go to OT and lost.

That was crazy, but this was worse. All they had to do was run the ball or take a couple knees, and kick a field goal. Northern Iowa had to inbound the ball and make free throws and rebound etc etc and those kids are not professional athletes. The Super Bowl is full of pros. All of them are supposedly pros.

Only NFL big game collapse that was even comparable was the Packers/Seahawks NFC Champ in 2015. Pack up 16-0 at half and led 19-7 with less than 3 minutes to play in regulation, then lost in OT. I remember it well... still stings.

What amazes me is after how many Superbowls this was really the first one ever to go into overtime? That almost seems impossible

No team had lost by more then 10 in the history of the SB,and then these clowns go and blow a 25 point lead, just boggles the mind how quick that huge lead dried up to nothing.
