Jerome Bettis is a HOF but not Terrell Davis

What a joke. Bettis was a mediocre running back at best. Never won any NFL rushing title, but then again during his time he was going against Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, and Terrell Davis who dominated the 1990's at rushing.

The first thing people will point out is all them other 1,000 yard rushers after Davis. Portis and Mike Anderson were great in the regular season but did nothing in the playoffs. Davis went into playoffs against a stack box and still dominated. Bettis was non-factor in the playoff. Bettis has only 674 yards and 9 TDs in 14 playoff games, while Davis had 1140 yards and 12 TDs in only 8 playoff games.

I agree with frosty. Davis plaayed more games than gale sayers. Sayers is in the hall. Bettis was nothing special. Nfl rigged a superbowl to get rid of him.

Give me one great post season game by the Bus. Oh wait, he don't even have one after 14 years in the league. Padding stats do not define greatness. Sterling Sharpe was one of the greatest receivers ever that won't get in. Andre Reed was a joke getting in last year.

Fair dues, but when you look at his overall stats, 13,000 plus yds and 91 tds. Your gonna call that mediocre at best.

Congratulations Jerome (the bus) Bettis. you were the best RB of the 90's and a good portion of the 2000's.

Stupidest reasoning ever, at least backup you stupid reasoning. Here are Davis NFL records in his brief career that not even the Great Barry Sanders or Emmit Smith has.

He's only 1 of 3 people in NFL history to get 1,000 yards in only seven games, the other two being OJ Simpson and Jim Brown.
He has 3 Superbowl Rushing TD's still a record to this date
He has 7 consecutive 100 yard rushing games in the playoffs, could of had 8 but narrowly missed with 91 yards in 1996.
He hold the NFL record for total yards from scrimmage combining the playoffs with 2762 yards.

Asidie from that, the dude was only a two time Superbowl, NFL MVP, Superbowl MVP.

Jerome Bettis was the complete back and any who refute this fact prove they know nothing about the game.

Complete back that cost his team the AFC championship game when he fumbled it away to the Broncos in 1996. Then did the same thing in the Superbowl only to have big Ben save. The guy was never great ever, just a stat padder that milked the league for all it's worth. Didn't have a single memorable game in the playoffs that will go down in history.

Terrell Davis had the greatest 3 year stretch a RB has ever had. What he did from 96-98 will never be done again.

He is also the best postseason RB in NFL history.

If Sayers is in, Davis should be in.

Rooting for your team and making silly threads are two different things, no objectivity with you.

    His post is right.

There is not 1 single argument that can be made for Sayers> Davis. And Sayers is in the Hall.
