    Bovada problem

I bet a teaser tonight with sea and the under... I got sea -1.5 and under 52.

it was for a lot of money.

i checked the bet several times before and during the game in the "open bets" section. It always showed up.

i thought about hedging at halftime by putting some money on the over, but decided to ride it out.

at end of game i checked it again to calculate how much I won, and how much would be in my account.

after my bets were graded, my account was short.

i checked my history, and that bet is nowhere to be found.

my account is only short by the amount won, not the amount wagered plus won.

has anything like this ever happened to anyone here?

now it is showing that my bet was placed "under review' and that it was rejected.

only reason it lists is "your max cumulative risk is us$550"

they must have rejected it sometime during the game, why didnt they reduce it to 550?

better question is how have I been placing bets for over 550 for several weeks now?

I made a bet on the very same game for over that amount on the under.

i lost 2 bets on cincy last night for over that amount.

    wtf?

    pretty penetrating shitty

I don't know why anybody is on the bovada site. They are the last sports book to put up the lines. They take their time to see how the lines are moving on the other books who do it right and put out the lines on Sunday for the next Sundays games. Also there lines are so juiced all the time. I play on Betonline and I love this book. Betonline is one of the first books if not the first to post spreads for the next weekend games. I would highly recommend this sportsbook and I would drop bovada in a heart beat. Bovada (aka bodog back in the day) just plain sucks.

their poker games are pretty good. that is only thing that lead me there. I agree their lines are always put up late, and can usually find better elsewhere. however, you can't find a better poker room available to us players.

yeah, i am gonna do that from now. didn't even know this was possible. to me the question mostly comes down to when did they put it "under review" and reject it. if it was before the game, they probably shouldn't pay it because i had a chance to call or re-enter the bet for a smaller amount. but, i am sure that i was seeing it as an accepted wager throughout the game, and sometime toward the end of the game or even after the game they put it under review and rejected it. that is very fd up. i am sure they will find some excuse not to pay it, currently i am getting the run around in emails. plus if it was rejected for being over 550... how i have been making bets over that amount an a regular basis? i won a bet for more than that on the same game, and lost 2 bets over that amount just the night before.

    File an SBR complaint.

JJ, we need your help here, brother. Please assist us in serving Bovada their justice.

I can't believe that anybody would need to take a snap shot of a bet they made. I have never had a problem with Betonline. Bovada is a waste of time. I live in the USA and I have no problems with Betonline. I have received several checks from them over the years with now problems when I go cash them at the bank. I would recommend dumping Bovada. That book is the worst there is.

Bovada not a bad book for betting dogs and the poker is loose. Played there since dog days and still haven't had a problem getting paid once. Sounds like you got limited which Bovada seems to do liberally but not exactly logically. I hit 3 NBA parlays and a few teasers during the playoffs this year and was limited on parlays and teasers but not straight bets which seemed so strange to me. If they did cancel it it would still show up in your account history though so something weird is going on. You say your account is frozen as well, did you do any transfers or anything else they would feel the need to investigate? It might take a few days but if you're clean you don't need to worry about your money.

i didn't get froze out of my account, their site just went down, which caused me to panic.

i have received checks from there, no problem at all.

    poker there is great.

they would not give me any reason why they cancelled my bet other than it was over the limit, and it is up to the discretion of their bookmakers.

they claim their site is for "recreational gamblers", so they stand by their ability to cancel bets that are for large amounts.

they would not answer any question about how they can cancel bets after the game is over.

cancelled bets do not show up in your history.

I do not want to file a complaint, i will still use bovada, just not for large amounts.

they pay out super fast, they have a great poker room, and i am happy with their book.

i will just be sure not to place bets over the limit.

sucks i had a winner cancelled, but i'll be alright, and i learned a lesson. a pretty expensive lesson, but i am done sweating it.

i will still recommend bovada to my friends, just warn them of placing large bets.

Don't stack bets to get around limits either because they'll freeroll you again. Learned that one myself a few years back.
