This increases my chances on Ryan Shazier to win defensive rookie of the year.

Yeah SWATT and Reed looked amazing yesterday...Clowney actually looked a little lost in game speed....maybe he can take the rehab time to study up and be fresh mid season....the first few drives Skins were dominated but once they started changing up the direction, Clowney got off his block but then just ran around like a true rookie making sure he was at least in the area for film reviews.

Houston will be Ok. They don't play a playoff team until week 6. Before that they have Oakland, Giants, Buffalo, and Dallas. They could potentially be 4-1 without Clowney.

Good point. We were talking about that sort of yesterday...when they first said he may have been simply cramping before the half before injury was disclosed. Joke was made Clowney plays for Bill Obrien...on an overachiever personality driven defense with Cushing and JJ Watt and Reed...once they start riding his ass about being lazy and entitled for coming out of college early and crowned the greatest ever he'll fold.

Look at the injury reports across the league. Teams missing half their offensive lines. All kinds of key players went down yesterday.

Had a freak knee injury.....meniscus tear that needs surgery is not the norm, not sure it means he's injury prone or whatever else

Usually injury prone guys have problems with muscle tears or strains, not the case here

    Come back strong next year

Nah has nothing to do with the injury, I just never thought he was all that great. He should have been a tight end or linebacker, I think he'd be better suited at those positions.

Warning signs @ South Carolina for sure ... Watch how career plays out some guys don't have work ethic and some guys just aren't durable

Not a good start but it's an unfortunate injury that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not a player is durable or has a bad work ethic

Wayyy too early to call a guy's career at age 22 or whatever he is, revisit this in like 2017

Glad most people are smart enough not to write him off.

Guy needs to sit it all out, come back 100% for training camp next year. Force nothing.
