Very interesting game here, it seems as though the scenario is similar to the first time these two teams met.
UConn on a relative roll, teetering on the brink of extermination from the NCAA Tournament, but with a golden opportunity on the horizon... SMU
Last time we all know how this one played out, and UConn got beat on like a drum.
Today the story line shifts, as UConn gets to play at the XL Center, where I am expecting a highly charged up crowd, and a tournament like atmosphere. If UConn has any hopes for an at large bid they essentially have to win out
This spread opened as SMU -1, and is currently at SMU +1. It seems pretty clear cut to me that SMU is the far superior team... however this line stinks to me.
This was the one game on the horizon for SMU which I thought they might drop. SMU is a great team but if they falter it would be here, on the road at Uconn on a Sunday.
