CAVS are gonna be hard to beat –

Kevin Love is just getting started.. this team barely knows each other..
this dude is a REBOUNDING machine..

if guys are fighting him off.. it leaves Thompson wide open to get in there

    GAME 1 • NY KNICKS FG% .536 CLEVELAND FG% .457 (minus 7%)

    GAME 2 • CHICAGO FG% .456 CLEVELAND FG% .394 (minus 6%)

keep in mind, that the Cavs won IN Chicago, on 39% shooting.
the Knicks shot 53% and the Cavs only lost by 5.

you have to shoot OVER 50% to beat the Cavs in a series.
Teams RARELY do that for an entire game, everybody has to be ON, basically.
(and in this case the Knicks certainly were)

but IF the Cavs win the accuracy war.. then LIGHTS OUT.

the oldest guy is Varejao... at season's end.. everybody is fast and has legs.
On the Chicago side, i expect Gasol will be pooped by April,
he did not look sharp at the game's end tonight.and we are IN OCTOBER.

and Rose.. who knows.. brilliant player.. but so brittle

they barely know each other's names at this point.

wait until they get their timing down, where they can read each other's body-language
so they understand where each will be in a few seconds from the present

i think after 40 games or so, they will be hard to beat.

    71 PTS.

3 players in double figures at the Half.

    22 ASSISTS at Halftime. YIKES!!

that is lethal. that is a whole team on fire.

    Welcome to CLEVELAND.

also: Atlanta is 5-3 coming into this game.
All of their starters average in Double Figures.

this is not against a Kobe team, or the 76ers

    Altanta is a playoff team.

Better off without him.. too slow on D... great guy.. great player..

    but that pipe is smoked.

    team chemistry working right now..
i think best when Lebron is oldest guy on team..

    the natural hierarchy of leadership

the only ball-movement on a Kobe team:

... is from Kobe's right hand to his left.. and back

James is putting his footprint on the team...interesting to see how they react to it from game to game...you saw it with Oscar Robertson...you saw it with Magic...with Jordan it was more Phil...but with James the impact is immediate....if he can get them to play defense....he might be the first player to ever win MVP and coach of the year in the same season....lol

looks like Lebron and the coach stressed the defensive end
good enough for everyone to buy in..

people don't score 100 on the Cavs anymore (or with ease or regularity)

Cavs do score 100 usually... looks like a good ride, let's see if this continues.

I know that doing so at home, and on the road are different feats.
we'll see on the upcoming road trip how the 'D' holds up.

but much improved over the last 4 games...

Cavs clearly taking the night off...and point shaving for the books....but loosing to the bucks at home...not a good look...hopefully they buckle down in the 4th....

they dialed it in in the 4th...

most of the Buck points in the 4th were squeezed in the last couple of minutes..
    when the game was won..

it looked for a while like the Cavs were again going to be over 100 and keep opponent under that thresh hold..

they are improving, i think that Lebron's objective at the moment is to get Love's engine going

cavs are only winning when they are on offensively
havent seen a game where they have won ugly
thats what they will need to do in the playoffs
their defense sucks, plain and simple

    Cavs defense improving..

    L4 games: CAVS over 100, opponents under 100 (3 of 4)

    CLE 106 ORL 74
    CLE 113 WAS 87
    CLE 109 IND 97
    CLE 111 MIL 108

avg. score CLE 109.75 OPP 91.5

call it what you want, but that is not terrible 'D' over 4 games.
not the best opponents. but good 'D'

One thing is clear...there is nobody else in the league bar maybe Popovich who could get these guys to play on both ends of the floor the way Lebron has....his influence is immediate...and contagious...He might be the first true great superstar to be a great head coach one day...

    vs. Knicks

Cavs 4th Qtr. defense forced 8 turnovers.. that's getting better.

Cavs are finishing games.. playing all 48 min.

gotta say... these New Cavs DO NOT QUIT.

they have come back from double-digit deficits.. i think 3-of-last-5 games.. not sure..

that notion or belief is a great advantage in the Playoffs.

    goos stuff. Streak at 8

    Go Cavs

I'd have to agree Ratzz..they are certainly rounding into form...they are clearly not the same team they were back in early November..the effort on the glass and the defensive end is almost like night and day compared to 4 weeks ago....they are on a roll and Lebron is the main reason...
