    LOL...Actually I can help it quite plenty...Kobe deserves every bit of it...this idiot knew well in advance what the implications were going into this season and still decided to swallow half the cap, then turned around and complained about the teams inability to put a winner on the floor. Now they have spread themselves thin signing Young, Hill and Lin and have now have 30 mill left on next years cap...they are essentially out of the running for LOVE if he in fact available next year...priceless....When Durant and Westbrook come off the books in 16/17...who will the Lakers entice them with?

    It's all about money @ this stage of the game. The Lakers aren't winning no matter what they do or who they sign. Outside of LeBron James, Kobe brings more money to a franchise than any other player in the league so why shouldn't he take the most money he can & why shouldn't the Lakers pay him whatever it takes. The Lakers are going to profit off this contract. I don't blame Kobe or the Lakers for doing this.

    look at the spurs, the heat, dirk, all took less to win
