    here's a thought

    lets assume that someones car fails post race inspection after a win in the chase. now what. nascar has never taken away a win and a points penalty wont matter, since you advance and all is reset.

    something to ponder.

    Part of the penalty can be not allowing the driver to use the win to advance in the Chase.
