You could of got a puckline on BUF at very attractive odds Both 5Dimes and Pinny offer them ...and 13 seconds is a lot of time in hockey. Scoring an empty netter with a clear line to the goal from that distance is not that big of a deal

I had over5 ...so I was safe regardless after BUF scored that 5th goal in the 3rd period.

I'm not sure if you can call it a bad beat...MON played last night...they chose to play the same goalie on back to back games. While BUF played their last game about 8 days ago.

If you look at the statistic for shots on goal and faceoffs - they are pretty dead even.

Close game...I guess BUF just had more luck on their side.

I didn't see it, figured an empty netter.

I suppose only a bad beat in a sense that the bet was winning until 13 seconds left.

Late Buf puckline came through, that makes some sense.

You got that right Packerd. I can't believe this team was unstoppable out of the gates and has tanker pretty much ever since. Has that happened in recent history with any team? I've only been following nhl pretty closely for about 2.5 years now.

The total was 5, so it was either a push witout the empty net or a loss. I have seen way more bad beats than that. I remember a 1-0 game earlier in the season in which I had U 5.5 and it ended up with 6 goals.
And anyone remember Boston vs these very same Sabres back in late December when Boston led 3-1 with under 10 to play and Sabres win 5-3? I had Boston +1.5 in a +150 parlay that would have hit.

Buffalo was +450 when they were down 2-1. Played myself by only putting 10 on them instead of 50 like I was toying with.

It isnt looking like theyll even get to playoffs know,it seemed like once Gallagher had come back theyd started clicking again, but nope. The Sharks last year were the closest to a tank job that I can remember, nothing like this though.

Still a nice payout of $45! I have never won that much in a single bet...though I've never bet more than $10 on one.

Nice hit. Once Buffalo took the lead and lost it, I thought that was it. Strong 3rd for them.

Yeah - tell me about it - Sharks last year were killing me!!! I rolled with them in the first part of the season and won some, and then stuck with them until the last couple weeks and got blasted by them...Rocket was only one who seemed to know when they were going to win last year.

Sorry dude - guess I'd be a bit upset with that empty netter from so far away too. I try to stay away from the Under 5.5 unless it's like -135 or better and U 6 if -150 or better...though it seems those times I buy up to 6, I didn't need to.

I was really out for the Under 5 (+137) and had to put some at 5.5 (-140), including one for BigDay and Angelman.

It was a poor play at -140 but ate some up anyway. I guess I didn't get shorted much on the payout...since it lost.

    DAL/COL o5.5 -113
    CHI in regulation +109

Was certainly worth a shot with that nice plus money at the U5...and the -140 was not a terrible play...at least before the game started and even at end of Period 2.

It's not because of trolls ...you know I can easily deal with them. Unfortunately this year, I simply don't have the time for a season long thread...and I don't wanna do it just for a few months and then leave. Believe it or not, but it takes a lot of effort/time to post plays, update record, answer all the question...etc.

I post plays here and there in various threads, but nothing to serious.

    How's your season coming along?

Nice - never been over there!
Life is hard with lots of work - nearly 60 hrs per week, and helping raise 2 active little boys.

As far as nhl, I have cut down my -15 units to about -7 now...ended strong last season to have a small profit - hoping for the same this year. Baseball killed my BR. My futures bets are alive and well!!! They keep me going.

Totally get that man! I miss your plays - your style was similar to our friend - who I can't even remember his name now!! I liked your TT U 2.5 bets - they were $$$
I'm not the greatest capper/bettor, but am determined to succeed.
Hoping either Kings or Stars win the West (though I'm a Hawks fan, so not sure I want that!) and I'll get a big boost!

Damn yeah sounds like you got a pretty full plate right know mate.

Futures bets can be your saving grace as far as recouping lost profits,I know that from experience. What teams you got.

Yeah but I had a straight wager on Montreal before the game started, and took them again as dogs when they were down 1-0 and had them parlayed with Atlanta ML so it didn't work out how I wanted it to. Oh well. New day tomorrow. Huge slate. 12 games.
