I havent read through this full thread, and mainly only bet on football and basketball. New to betting on hockey but have played my whole life. Was never aware that whoever was reffing the game had an impact on score total...how does that work??

One word.....penalties

The more penalties the more power plays. Refs are a small part of my decision, but they can be a factor.

Good afternoon,

Lately, I have been trying to be as selective as possible on my plays. Trying to eliminate a play for, sometimes, rather small reasons since I do not like playing too many games. The problem is tonight there are 3 games and I like all 3 and am finding it difficult to eliminate 1 or 2 of them. Therefore, I will have 1 "Regular Play" and 2 "Opinion Plays". Of course they could all "go south" but not from lack of effort.

Regular Play:

NYR/Pit over 5

Opinion Plays:

Ott/Det under 5.5
Van/AZ under 5.5

Almost released 6 plays tonight, but as I said yesterday, I am trying to be selective so i cut it down to 3 releases.

Pit/Car over 5 (got two over refs in this one to hopefully help us)
Col/Det over 5
Nash/TB over 5

The three that almost made the cut but ARE NOT PLAYS are:

Mon/Buf over 5 (too high juice)

Moneyline Sports like baseball and hockey can be very deceptive when looking solely at win-loss records. Can you share how many units you are up on the year? I think that is much more meaningful than just keeping track of Ws and Ls.

Thank you BHC Average is approx -120 for regular plays and -130 for opinion plays. I never lay more than -140.
