NFL Player News - Week 3

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson has torn meniscus Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) suffered a torn meniscus in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Peterson has not yet been ruled out for Week 3, however.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson is a quick healer, and he could be back sooner than people think. However, this week is a bit of a stretch so expect Jerrick McKinnon and Matt Asiata to split time at Carolina in Week 3.

SD - RB Danny Woodhead placed on IR

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers RB Danny Woodhead (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a torn anterior cruciate ligament Monday, Sept. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We hate to see this, especially since the Chargers lost WR Keenan Allen for the season after Week 1. Woodhead was a key piece of the offense, and now the team will turn to Melvin Gordon to do more. He's responded with a great start to the 2016 season so far. Kenneth Farrow and Andre Williams will compete for spots in the pecking order behind Gordon.

SEA - MRI negative for WR Doug Baldwin

    Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin's (knee) MRI came back negative Monday, Sept. 19, according to a source.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Seahawks and Baldwin's fantasy owners here. We should consider Baldwin day-to-day with this injury. His practice status on Friday will be important when projecting whether or not he's going to play in Week 3 against the 49ers.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler will draw Week 3 start

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler will start Week 3 versus the Miami Dolphins per league sources, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If you're streaming a defense -- or want to find a non-chalky play in DFS -- then everyone under the sun should consider the Dolphins defense. The Browns are playing on the road, and Kessler is not known as a player who stands out under duress. If the pocket is clean, Kessler can operate efficiently on short-to-intermediate passes.

ATL - WR Julio Jones dealing with calf strain

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (calf) has been diagnosed a calf strain, although it is not believed to be serious, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Another week, another strong game from Jones....and another nagging injury. We love Jones, and he's a WR1 -- set it and forget it -- every week regardless of matchup. However, it would be nice to get through a week without something else cropping up for the superstar WR.

KC - RB Jamaal Charles' Week 3 status uncertain

Source: The Kansas City Star - Terez A. Paylor

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) 'looked better' in practice last week, but head coach Andy Reid was noncommittal when asked about his status for Week 3 against the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if Charles plays, the team is likely to ease him into the lineup. This situation is worth monitoring -- especially for those waiting on Charles return. However, don't immediately plug him in with your starters his first week back.

NE - QB Jimmy Garoppolo out for Week 3

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) will miss the Week 3 game Thursday, Sept. 22, but there is hope he can return for Week 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots have a short week as they face the Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. Without Garoppolo, the team should start rookie QB Jacoby Brissett. After that, they'll have 10 days to watch/monitor Garoppolo to see if he can play. Initial reports had Garoppolo out around six weeks but the hope is that he's back much sooner.

NYJ - WR Eric Decker has sore shoulder

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets WR Eric Decker (shoulder) is dealing with a sore shoulder, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They'll monitor Decker closely and limit his participation in practice this week.

MIA - RB Arian Foster day-to-day

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) is considered day-to-day with a groin injury, according to head coach Adam Gase. Gase said he is unsure if Foster will practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wednesday's practice doesn't matter...but Friday's does. Check back to see if Foster can play in Week 3. It's a great matchup against a poor Browns defense if he can. If not, then grab Jay Ajayi who should take over as the lead back in Foster's absence.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart likely out for Week 3

    Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) is expected to miss 'at least a week or two' after suffering a hamstring injury in a Week 2 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Ron Rivera.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers should move forward with a three-headed RBBC featuring Cameron Artis-Payne, Fozzy Whittaker and fullback Mike Tolbert. Throw in QB Cam Newton's rushing ability and you can see how the fantasy value is limited for any of those backs.

WAS - Teammates unhappy with QB Kirk Cousins? Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins completed 28 of his 46 pass attempts for 364 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys. He also ran twice for 20 yards. After a pair of losses at home, a source with knowledge of the situation said multiple offensive players have begun to complain about Cousins, pointing to a lack of decisiveness, erratic play and confusion.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They don't like that! There is frustration mounting within the Washington locker room, but winning cures everything. Last year's Cinderella story needs to play better -- win -- to get back into the good graces of his teammates.

NYG - RB Rashad Jennings should play

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (hand) should be on the field in some capacity in Week 3, according to ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jennings may be out there, but fantasy owners can find better options. The Giants are at home against a Washington defense that is soft against the run. Jennings is splitting time with Shane Vereen, and we can't recommend either more than 'what the heck' flex-level plays.

DEN - OLB DeMarcus Ware out a while

Source: The Denver Post - Troy E. Renck

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware (forearm) will undergo surgery on his fractured forearm Tuesday, Sept. 20. He is expected to miss four to five weeks, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fortunately, the Broncos have some depth. Last year's first-round pick LB Shane Ray should be bumped up the depth chart. Shaq Barrett will get more reps as a rotational pass-rusher for the Broncos while Ware is out.

NYJ - No sprained MCL for WR Brandon Marshall?

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

Contrary to an earlier report, New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) does not have a sprained medial collateral ligament, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Marshall will be watched closely as the team goes through practice this week. If healthy, count on Marshall as a high-upside WR2 in Week 3 against the Chiefs.

SEA - Seattle guilty of 'excessive workouts'

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

The Seattle Seahawks were fined $400,000 and will forfeit a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft for violating the league's Collective Bargaining Agreement and the rules that prohibit excessive contact in all offseason workouts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Here we go again. Head coach Pete Carroll was also fined $200,000. The Seahawks committed a similar violation two years ago.

BUF - WR Robert Woods to get more involved?

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods received a nod from teammate Sammy Watkins recently, as Watkins suggested Woods 'has been open and needs to get the ball more often', according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Woods has a bunch of natural talent, but he's never played up to his potential. In the Bills offense, the air is not going to get filled with footballs and that limits Woods value.

SF - RB Carlos Hyde unhappy with Week 2 effort

Source: Sacramento Bee - Matt Barrows

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde believes a lack of patience contributed heavily to a 14-carry, 34-yard performance in a loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. Hyde also lost the fumble early, which led to Carolina's first touchdown.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hyde had a disappointing Week 2 after a strong Week 1 performance. He should be able to bounce back as few teams have a front seven on defense like the Panthers. We consider Hyde a RB2 for fantasy owners going forward.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins to be limited

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) will be limited in practice this week, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No shock here. The Bills have a long week since they played on Thursday night, and that gives Watkins extra time to rest. Check back on Friday to see what his practice status is.

IND - WR Donte Moncrief to have MRI

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) will undergo an MRI on his shoulder, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moncrief took a huge shot to the head and neck from the Broncos on Sunday. It looks like his shoulder may have been hurt on the play as well.

TEN - WR Tajae Sharpe in on every snap

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe played all 67 offensive snaps in Week 2, and WR Rishard Matthews was in on 54 percent of the plays with 36.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sharpe is a fine young rookie WR but the Titans are spreading the ball around so much that he's not getting the looks he needs to be fantasy relevant. We love him in dynasty formats, but re-draft owners are likely to have much better options for WR depth.

    Wednesday Update

NE - No practice for QB Jimmy Garoppolo Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday, Sept. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots aren't counting him out, so we won't either. However, we think it would be borderline miraculous (like making a good Superman movie) if Garoppolo plays on Thursday night against the Texans.

MIA - Miami optimistic about RB Arian Foster

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Dan Graziano

The Miami Dolphins are 'cautiously optimistic' regarding RB Arian Foster (groin). He has not yet been ruled out for Week 3. His status may not be better determined until later in the week, however.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We like being cautious when considering Foster as a fantasy starter this week. The matchup against the Browns in Week 3 is great, but we won't know Foster's status until Friday at the earliest. Make sure to have other options ready. If Foster is out, the Dolphins would turn to Jay Ajayi as their lead back.

CAR - RB Fozzy Whittaker the main back

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Carolina Panthers RB Fozzy Whittaker was in on 49 offensive snaps in Week 2 in light of RB Jonathan Stewart's (hamstring) early exit. RB Cameron Artis-Payne did not receive any snaps.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That was last week when Artis-Payne was inactive. This week it may be different. Artis-Payne has been inactive in the first two games of the year, but he could see the field with Stewart down. No Panthers RB is worth taking much of a flier on really. Whittaker and Artis-Payne could split carries, then add in fullback Mike Tolbert's red-zone and goal-line opportunities, then account for QB Cam Newton's rushing prowess and you can see how not much could be there.

SD - RB Dexter McCluster signs with Chargers

    Source: Chargers.com

Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Dexter McCluster (Titans) signed with the San Diego Chargers Tuesday, Sept. 20. WR Isaiah Burse was subsequently waived.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Danny Woodhead, the Chargers needed to sign a change-of-pace back. McCluster knows the system as he worked under Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt when the two were with the Titans. McCluster can fill the Woodhead role, but he won't look as good or be as productive. We think Melvin Gordon gets an even larger role with Woodhead out.

GB - RB C.J. Spiller visiting Green Bay

    Source: ESPN - Adam Caplan

Free-agent RB C.J. Spiller (Saints) is visiting the Green Bay Packers Tuesday, Sept. 20, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers had interest in Ronnie Hillman earlier this year in the spring, so perhaps their desire to have a smaller, change-of-pace back continues with this workout of Spiller. No signing is imminent, so they may just be updating their emergency list.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler won't need surgery

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (thumb) will not need surgery on his sprained thumb, according to head coach John Fox.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the veteran QB here, but it doesn't mean he's going to play in Week 3. The Bears treat injury information like National Security secrets, so don't expect much of an update before -- or even on -- Friday.

NYJ - WR Brandon Marshall to be game-time call

Source: New York Daily News - Daniel Popper

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee) said he would need all the way up to pre-game warmups to determine whether he can play in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners never like to hear 'game-time decisions' for their players. Try to find other options this week if you have Marshall as your WR2. If he plays, he may be more of a flex option in Week 3 on the road against the Chiefs.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews nursing hand injury?

Source: CSNPhilly.com - Rachel Appel Micali

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (hand) was being checked by trainers in the locker room after the Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears Monday, Sept. 19. The trainers appeared to be looking at his hand.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mathews is one of the most oft-injured players in the NFL. We'll see what he can do in practice this week.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte still thriving

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

New York Jets RB Matt Forte has shown no sign of old age or wear and tear yet in 2016. He is third in the NFL in rush attempts (52), second in rushing yards (196) and tied for first in rushing touchdowns (3). It was suspected that RB Bilal Powell would take away a good chunk of Forte's touches this season, but that has not been close to the case so far.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forte is straight fire for his fantasy owners. He's a set-it-and-forget-it starter going forward as the clear lead back with the Jets. If you have the bench space, then make sure to keep Powell around just in case. He's a talented backup who could thrive in a larger role.

BAL - TE Dennis Pitta officially back?

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta is tied for first among tight ends with 12 catches. He is second with 141 yards and he is third with 16 targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Many didn't think Pitta would ever play football again. Kudos to the Ravens as they allowed Pitta to recover with what was a lengthy timetable and get back on the field. His connection with QB Joe Flacco is strong, and the results have been fruitful this year as Baltimore is off to a 2-0 start.

NE - Two quarterbacks work out for Pats

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent QBs T.J. Yates (Texans) and Sean Renfree (Falcons) worked out for the New England Patriots Tuesday, Sept. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Neither one signed a deal with the Pats. This is a sign they're comfortable with a Jimmy Garoppolo/Jacoby Brissett combination on Thursday night against a tough Texans defense. There are some who think Garoppolo could start in Week 3.

DET - Detroit works out RB Joique Bell

    Source: ESPN - Adam Caplan

Free-agent RB Joique Bell (Lions) worked out for the Detroit Lions Tuesday, Sept. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bell knows the system and would give the team veteran depth behind Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington. Don't expect much from him if he comes back to the Lions.

SD - San Diego hosts RB Ronnie Hillman

    Source: ESPN - Adam Caplan

Free-agent RB Ronnie Hillman (Broncos) visited the San Diego Chargers Tuesday, Sept. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hillman worked under Mike McCoy when the Chargers head coach was the OC in Denver (2012). The speedy veteran was the leading rusher for the Broncos in 2015, but he couldn't beat out Kapri Bibbs for a roster spot. An unrestricted free agent earlier this year, Hillman received no offers and returned to Denver on a cheap deal...then he didn't make the team. Somebody like the Chargers (or the Dolphins?) could sign Hillman at some point this year.

DET - WR Aaron Dobson joining Lions

Source: NFL Network - Rand Getlin

Free-agent WR Aaron Dobson (Patriots) is signing with the Detroit Lions Tuesday, Sept. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If you get points for drops, then rush to the waiver wire to add Dobson in super deep leagues.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray involved in passing game

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray has been targeted 14 times through the air this season, resulting 12 catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns. He ranks in the top five among running backs in targets (T-1st), catches (T-2nd), yards (5th) and touchdowns (1st).

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans haven't been using their 'exotic smashmouth' offense (what is that again?), but Murray has been performing well in a more wide open scheme. Murray is a high-end RB2 for fantasy owners so long as he's on the field.

    17. NYG - RB Rashad Jennings on track for Week 3
    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) had a cast on his right thumb Tuesday, Sept. 20, but he said it will be removed before the Week 3 game against the Washington Redskins Sunday, Sept. 25. Jennings is confident he will play Sunday, and he also noted he could play with the cast on, if needed.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jennings is confident, but fantasy owners should not be confident in him. The team is going to split time between Jennings and Shane Vereen -- plus the offense is built more on the passing game. Both Jennings and Vereen are RB3/flex options (and not exciting ones at that) for fantasy owners.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz's Week 3 status up in the air

    Source: CSNPhilly.com - Reuben Frank

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) will likely be a game-time decision in Week 3 against Pittsburgh Steelers, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz could be out for at least another game this week against the Steelers, so Trey Burton isn't a bad choice in what should be a high-scoring game. The Eagles bye is in Week 4, so Ertz should be back soon. That's a reason to not go too aggressive for Burton on the wire.

SEA - Pete Carroll praises RB Christine Michael

    Source: ESPN.com - Sheil Kapadia

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael has caught the eye of head coach Pete Carroll, who was asked about his star-crossed runner on Monday, Sept. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Michael has outperformed a banged up Thomas Rawls this season. The two should continue to split time and that's a frustrating situation for fantasy owners. Consider both more RB3/flex level plays while the split continues.

WAS - Jay Gruden standing behind QB Kirk Cousins

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins still has the 'total faith' of head coach Jay Gruden despite a rough beginning to the season. Cousins ranks third in the league in passing yards (693), but he has only one touchdown versus three interceptions, contributing to Washington's 0-2 start.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cousins certainly isn't enjoying the success he had last year in his breakout season. It's still early, and there's plenty of time to turn things around. Cousins needs to be better in the red zone. In two games, Cousins is 5-for-17 for 34 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the red zone. Last season, he was 50-for-78 for 345 yards, 22 touchdowns and no interceptions in the red zone.

LA - LA to stick with QB Case Keenum for now

    Source: ESPN.com - Alden Gonzalez

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum will remain the starting quarterback as the team heads into its Week 3 road battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's the plan -- for now. The Rams are the only NFL team that has yet to score a touchdown, but head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters this week that a move to No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff will be 'based on a lot of different things' and made 'when he's ready'.

SEA - TE Jimmy Graham holding up well

    Source: ESPN.com - Sheil Kapadia

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham reported feeling 'like a beast' when asked how he felt physically following his team's loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. Graham saw a huge increase in snaps in Week 2, participating in 82 percent of the team's offensive plays (55 snaps) after playing only 21 percent overall (17) in Week 1.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In deep leagues, Graham is worth considering as a waiver wire addition. However, even in those formats he's only got TE2 value at this moment. It's nice to see him healthy-ish and contributing more in that offense, but this isn't the 'OMG' player/situation it used to be with Graham.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott won't lose carries

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott won't lose carries due to his two fumbles in Week 2, according to owner Jerry Jones.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team selected Elliott near the top of the first round for a reason -- the guy is going to tote the rock. Even with this mistakes, the Cowboys should continue to feature Elliott as the centerpiece of their offense. Obviously, he needs to hang onto the ball and we suspect that will be an emphasis in practice going forward.

With all the rules trying to turn the NFL into flag football it is interesting to note the number of injuries.

I think it also has to do with more awareness because in the past players played hurt and didn't complain about it and there weren't any protocols to have to look at certain injuries.

I assume this is for the better for the players at least.

    Thursday Update

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson to have surgery Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) plans to have surgery Thursday, Sept. 22, to repair a torn meniscus in his knee.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson could miss most of the rest of the regular season. There is a hope that he can recover in time for a playoff run. Fantasy owners will now see Jerrick McKinnon with Matt Asiata to see some time as well.

CLE - WR Corey Coleman breaks hand

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) suffered a broken hand during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to a source. It is not known how long Coleman will be sidelined.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Early reports indicate that Coleman could be out for quite some time. It's a shame given the fact that Coleman had such a great start to his rookie season. The Browns offense is already without QB Josh McCown, and now this injury takes a weapon away from rookie starting QB Cody Kessler.

NE - QB Jimmy Garoppolo doubtful for Thursday

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, and listed as doubtful for the Week 3 game against the Houston Texans Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We could see Garoppolo shut down as he continues to deal with this shoulder injury. Rookie Jacoby Brissett will likely start against a tough Texans defense. WR Julian Edelman (a college QB) will serve as the emergency QB.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski listed as questionable

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, and he is listed as questionable for the Week 3 game against the Houston Texans Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Getting Gronkowski back will help the Patriots offense -- especially with rookie QB Jacoby Brissett likely starting. We may not know if Gronkowski is going to start until right up before game time.

CLE - WR Josh Gordon on track for Week 5

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon is still on track to return for the team's Week 5 game even though a warrant has been issued for his arrest stemming from a paternity case, according to an NFL spokesperson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon was not suspended for this new matter. We don't like to hear about him getting into more trouble, but the issue should be solved in court. Fantasy owners are going to get Gordon back, but the QB situation -- and most of the offense -- is a bit of a mess. When he's back, trusting him as a flex early might be the best bet...if you want to play him.

MIA - RB Arian Foster not expected to play

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, and appears to be a long shot to play in Week 3. He may have a chance to play in Week 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jay Ajayi should start against a weak Browns defense. It's a great matchup, but the Dolphins aren't built to run the ball. Consider Ajayi a high-end RB3/flex play in Week 3.

MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon will start

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer and Matt Vensel

Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon will be the starting running back with RB Adrian Peterson (knee) sidelined. He likely will play at least 60 percent of the snaps.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We have a bit of clarity here, but know that McKinnon is going to lose out on some high-value touches if/when the team gets near pay dirt. RB Matt Asiata will also receive playing time and likely will handle the goal line carries.

IND - WR Donte Moncrief out 4-6 weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder blade) will miss four to six weeks with a fractured shoulder blade, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Moncrief, we could see Phillip Dorsett move up in the pecking order. We could see more targets for him and TE Dwayne Allen. The Colts should already be peppering T.Y. Hilton with targets each week.

DET - RB Ameer Abdullah to IR

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The league has new IR rules, so Abdullah can be brought back in eight weeks if he's their designated to return player. In the meantime, everyone should add Dwayne Washington if he's available. Washington is a big back with plenty of power. He'll get some looks, but Theo Riddick (likely already owned in your league) will be the lead back and lead receiving back with Abdullah out.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler out 2-3 weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (thumb) is expected to miss two to three weeks, according to a source. His timeline depends on how he heals over the next three days.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cutler was uninspiring against the Eagles in Week 2...before and after the injury. The Bears are going to turn to Brian Hoyer while Cutler is out. He's a seasoned veteran who should be able to keep Alshon Jeffery fed.

TB - RB Doug Martin out three weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (hamstring) is expected to miss three weeks due to his hamstring injury, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hopefully this injury doesn't plague Martin for the rest of the year. In the meantime, Charles Sims takes over as the lead back. He's a great all-purpose back who is more than capable of carrying the rock as the featured runner. Sims has RB2 value -- especially in PPR leagues -- while Martin is out. Behind Sims, Peyton Barber and Jacquizz Rodgers will compete for snaps.

    15. NYG - Odell Beckham to have Norman shadow

    Source: ESPN - Britt McHenry

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. will be shadowed by Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman, except in the slot, in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This matchup will be one to watch in Week 3. The two have a history as last year in Week 14, Norman (then with the Panthers) frustrated Beckham and the superstar WR was flagged three times for unnecessary roughness. The report indicates that Norman will shadow Beckham everywhere but the slot position.

MIN - RB Ronnie Hillman signs with Vikings

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent RB Ronnie Hillman (Broncos) signed with the Minnesota Vikings Wednesday, Sept. 21. Terms weren't disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hillman was the Broncos leading rusher last year, but he couldn't beat out Devontae Booker or Kapri Bibbs in training camp this season. When he gets up to speed, the speedy veteran could negatively impact the fantasy value of Jerrick McKinnon. This move also may indicate how worried is about the potential return of Adrian Peterson (knee) later this year.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert limited

    Source: NFL

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We would be shocked to see Eifert this week against the Broncos. Watch to see if we get more information on Friday.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas fully practices

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hip) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas looked much better in practice on Wednesday than he did a week ago. He should be considered a WR2 for fantasy owners in Week 3.

BUF - TE Charles Clay sits out of practice

    Source: NFL

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay's knee is something that needs to be monitored. He's only a TE2 at best in a Bills passing game we're shying away from.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins misses practice

    Source: NFL

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins may be able to practice on Friday. He should be able to play this week, but we're cool on his prospects as he continues to deal with this injury. Fantasy owners should consider him a WR4 against the Cardinals in Week 3.

DET - TE Eric Ebron does not practice

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (back) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron has been doing more this year. Make sure he practices on Friday before you trust him as a low-end TE1 in your fantasy league.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker limited in practice

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker may have to deal with this hamstring injury for the rest of the year. However, he makes for a nice WR3/flex play this week against a bad Browns defense.

MIN - TE Kyle Rudolph limited

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph (groin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rudolph has inflated fantasy value with Sam Bradford at QB. However, he's still just a mid-range TE2...especially this week on the road against the Panthers.

DEN - TE Virgil Green absent from practice

Source: The Denver Post - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) did not participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's considered day-to-day with this calf injury. If Green can't play against the Bengals on Sunday, we may actually get to see Jeff Heuerman.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery limited

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears are going to have Brian Hoyer at QB this week, but we still trust Jeffery as a low-end WR1. If he's a full participant in practice on Friday, it will only cement our evaluation.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz out Wednesday

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) is out of practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trey Burton is the player to watch here. If Ertz is out again, Burton could be in line as the primary target at TE. Veteran Brent Celek will continue as the team's big-bodied blocker, but it's Burton who looked good (and was targeted 7 times) against the Bears in Week 2.

JAX - RB Chris Ivory back to work

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There is no guarantee that Ivory will be able to play this week. It could just be more of T.J. Yeldon as the Jaguars are at home against the Ravens.

CAR - CAR to use RB committee

Source: Charlotte Observer - Scott Fowler

Carolina Panthers RB Fozzy Whittaker, RB Cameron Artis-Payne and FB Mike Tolbert will split carries by committee with RB Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) out, according to offensive coordinator Mike Shula.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a situation most fantasy owners should avoid. However, if you were hit hard by RB injuries (too many to list) then perhaps you could throw a dart for last week's leading rusher Fozzy Whittaker.

NE - WR Julian Edelman prepping as backup QB

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman has done extensive work the last few days to prepare to be the backup quarterback.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman was a college QB, so this makes a lot of sense. The Texans will be prepared for this as their head coach Bill O'Brien used to be an assistant (and offensive cooridnator) on the Patriots offense.

DET - RB Theo Riddick to take over

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating an earlier report, Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah (foot) is out for the season, and RB Theo Riddick will get the first crack as the team's top back. RB Dwayne Washington and RB Zach Zenner will back him up.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Riddick has been looking much better as a runner this year, and he's already nails as a receiver out of the backfield. He's a RB2 in PPR leagues, but he could lose out on TDs to the power back Washington.

    Friday Update

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson has surgery Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) had successful surgery to repair his torn lateral meniscus in his knee Thursday, Sept. 22. There were no additional injuries in or surrounding the knee joint.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings are still hopeful he can come back for at least the playoffs, but they have to make it there first. Expect a lot of Stefon Diggs passes and a split between Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata—both of whom are decent flex plays. Asiata is a better touchdown-heavy league option, while McKinnon is solid in PPR formats. It's a bad matchup overall, so don't count on them as more than RB3 or so.

LA - HC not worried about RB Todd Gurley

    Source: ESPN.com - Alden Gonzalez

Los Angeles RB Todd Gurley has gotten off to a slow start, but head coach Jeff Fisher said Wednesday, Sept. 21, that he is confident Gurley will improve. 'Yeah, he's outstanding. When the season is done, people are going to go, 'Wow'.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not that worried about Gurley either. He's a low-end RB1 now instead of where he should be -- near the top of all fantasy RBs. We'll see if the Rams can get the superstar back jump-started.

MIA - RB Arian Foster misses practice

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22. Head coach Adam Gase said the team is trying to figure out the severity of Foster's injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's a long shot to play Sunday, which is a shame because this is a solid matchup. The problem is, can the rest of the group pick up the slack? Jay Ajayi has been a healthy scratch when he isn't underwhelming, and Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake aren't ready for prime time. This should be a match-up worth exploiting, but the best we feel comfortable with recommending is with Ajayi as a borderling RB2/RB3.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler remains out

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (thumb) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprises here. It's Hoyer time! However, we would not go anywhere near Brian Hoyer this week against Dallas. Well, from a fantasy perspective, we mean. We're sure he's personally a nice chap. Just not in your lineup.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins' status uncertain

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan said there is some concern that WR Sammy Watkins (foot) may not be able to play in Week 3 after he missed practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That will put more pressure on Anthony Lynn to try and find a way to make the offense work. The team is reportedly trying to simplify things, but what that looks like is hard to know. We'd avoid the receivers here if Watkins is out and buy stock in LeSean McCoy, who should be a solid RB2.

NYJ - WR Eric Decker limited Thursday

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Eric Decker (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Decker could be the main cog in the machine this weekend, and we expect a big day from him if he isn't out due to the shoulder issue. Consider him a borderline WR1/WR2 against the Chiefs.

NYJ - WR Brandon Marshall sits again

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (foot, knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's plenty to be concerned about for Marshall heading to Kansas City, and we may not know for sure until kickoff Sunday afternoon. If he is out, Quincy Enunwa gets a bump from a WR4 to a potential WR3.

CLE - WR Corey Coleman out 4-6 weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating an earlier report, Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman (hand) will miss four to six weeks, but he won't require surgery on his broken hand.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

How tough is it to be a Browns fan? The only team with more critical injuries is the Vikings. Push up Terrelle Pryor from "almost useless" to WR5, but there's no real reason to start anyone here with rookie Cody Kessler in charge.

CLE - Warrant for WR Josh Gordon rescinded

    Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon

An arrest warrant for Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon was withdrawn after the receiver complied with a year-old court order to take a DNA test in a paternity suit. In a statement, Gordon's attorneys said he was unaware until noon Wednesday, Sept. 21, that he had been requested to take the test.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Looks like Gordon is going to avoid trouble here. He wasn't in much if any danger of getting further discipline from the league in this case.

SD - TE Antonio Gates uncertain for Week 3

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (hamstring) is uncertain for Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts, as he is battling a hamstring injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Gates is limited or inactive, TE Hunter Henry would likely see more involvement in the offense with TE Sean McGrath in a backup role.

BUF - TE Charles Clay limited in practice

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay has done nothing so far, and while he might get a slight bump if Sammy Watkins is out, it's not enough to warrant a start. We wouldn't even have him on the roster.

KC - RB Jamaal Charles still limited Thursday

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, September 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should see Spencer Ware as the lead back for the Chiefs on Sunday. Charles is likely to be shut down for a bit longer.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte practices in full Thursday

    Source: NFLMedia.com

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) practiced in full Thursday, September 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forte may not score three TDs this week like he did in Week 2, but with all these RB injuries he's still a RB1. Plug and play if you've got him.

NO - WR Willie Snead sidelined

Source: The New Orleans Times-Picayune - Josh Katzenstein

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (toe) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints play on Monday night, and if Snead plays (he should) then make sure to get him in as a WR3 with WR2...and maybe even WR1 upside.

IND - RB Frank Gore fully practices

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gore is who he is - a guy who can grind out the yards but isn't hitting too many big gains. He's also not getting a full load of carries, which limits his production. That makes him a high end RB3, and if they would just give him a full load, he could sneak up to the RB2 zone. We just don't expect it.

IND - QB Andrew Luck, WR T.Y. Hilton limited Thursday

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) and WR T.Y. Hilton (knee) were limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck could be in a shootout, as both he Chargers and Colts suffer from "bad defense-itis" and the Chargers average 324.5 net passing yards allowed per game (29th in the NFL). The have generated five sacks and three interceptions, but allowed four passing touchdowns as well. We see Luck as a borderline QB1/QB2. A banged up Hilton is a concern and last week was really disappointing. He has yet to get his first touchdown as well. We think he should be decent this weekend, but have him as a WR3 right now in part due to injury, in part due to an underwhelming first two weeks.

PHI - No practice for TE Zach Ertz

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trey Burton did well last week without Zach Ertz there, and this is possibly a high scoring game. Consider Burton as a very solid TE2.

WAS - RB Matt Jones a full participant

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington needs to use Jones more, especially in the red zone. Of 14 red zone plays, 11 were passes and they didn't work often enough. We're not sure if coach Jay Gruden will bend though, and so we have Jones as an RB4. He may be effective, but he's not getting the carries for it to matter.

WAS - WR Josh Doctson limited Thursday

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doctson saw some fade-pass end zone attempts last week but Kirk Cousins was too busy regressing to make those work. We don't like this match against the New York Giants this week and see him as no more than a WR6, and a hail mary play in the hopes that a fade route works this week.

JAX - RB Chris Ivory takes part in practice

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
TJ Yeldon has been a disappointment with Ivory out, so we expect the veteran back to get a chunk of Yeldon's carries. This is not a good situation to come back to, though, as Baltimore started clamping down last week. We have them both as RB4 plays right now, but we expect Yeldon's value to drop and are optimistic that Ivory can improve the overall run game.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're hoping Jeffery plays, but along with his knee, he has a quarterback issue. Brian Hoyer isn't exactly an exciting prospect—then again, this Dallas defense is pretty shaky. We have Jeffery as a solid WR2 based on the match-up and talent, but keep an eye on practices the next two days.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson limited

    Source: NFL.com

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Right now we have him penciled in as a WR5 against the New York Giants. Kirk Cousins is a hot mess, and that impacts everyone here, and the injury is icing on the cake.

CLE - WR Andrew Hawkins to start

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns WR Andrew Hawkins will take WR Corey Coleman's (hand) spot in the starting lineup, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Commander Cody Kessler throwing the ball, we're not optimistic this will make for a good play. We'd avoid this passing offense this week and most weeks unless we see Kessler do something fantastic like not get hurt, given the cursed nature of the Browns quarterback position.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert unlikely this week

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) is unlikely to play in Week 3, in the opinion of beat writer Katherine Terrell.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah will split time but neither will be worth having on your roster or in your lineup.

    32. ARI - CB Patrick Peterson to cover top WR

Source: The Arizona Republic - Kent Somers

Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson is expected to cover Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) in their Week 3 game, according to FS Tyrann Mathieu.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We were already down on Watkins potential this week as he doesn't look right while he continues to deal with this foot injury. With Peterson on him, it's better to find help elsewhere in Week 3.

    Saturday Update

CLE - PK Patrick Murray's status in question Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Cleveland Browns PK Patrick Murray (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Cody Kessler at quarterback. hopefully none of you were looking to the Browns for your kicker this week.

TB - Bucs to waive TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan to release TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins following his arrest for a misdemeanor DUI Friday, September 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He will have to catch on with a "second chance" organization like Seattle, where Seferian-Jenkins also has regional ties as a former Washington Husky. He was already in head coach Dirk Koetter's doghouse, so the decisive action here is no surprise.

KC - RB Jamaal Charles doubtful for Week 3

Source: The Kansas City Star - Terez A. Paylor

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) is unlikely to play in Week 3 against the New York Jets. While most of his work in practice this week was on the scout team, head coach Andy Reid said Charles saw a bit of first-team work as well.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's difficult to make sense out of this because Charles was reportedly looking good all summer and activated from the PUP list on August 16th. He could have had a setback, but then his practice with the scout team doesn't make sense while he is healing. It is a fishy situation, which means we don't want to undersell Spencer Ware in trade talks or give up full value to get Charles. We can't be sure what we are getting when he returns, or when he will return.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs absent from practice Friday

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chad Graff

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 23, due to a groin injury. Head coach Mike Zimmer called the absence 'precautionary' and the expectation is that Diggs will play Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Exhale, Diggs owners. Our newest fantasy WR1 should be good to go on Sunday, but if he can't, it will be interesting to see if Sam Bradford has chemistry with Adam Theilen and Charles Johnson.

SD - TE Antonio Gates doubtful for Week 3

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Tom Krasovic

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (hamstring) has yet to practice this week and has been all but ruled out for Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rookie Hunter Henry will get the start, as the Chargers have now lost three key pieces of their offense for the Week 3 game. Philip Rivers has a great matchup, but Vontae Davis could return and make life tough for Travis Benjamin. It could be a slow offensive day through the air for the Chargers with a lot of Melvin Gordon on the ground.

NYJ - WR Brandon Marshall limited Friday

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) returned to limited practice Friday, Sept. 23, and will likely be a game-time decision in Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Unfortunately, Marshall is playing in a late game, so you'll need a hedge from one of the seven games that start at 405 eastern or later, but know that Marshall has played well through injuries in the past. If he's active, he'll still be worth a WR3/Flex start at worst. Quincy Enunwa gets a bump to WR2 fantasy status if Marshall is out.

NE - QB Jacoby Brissett likely needs thumb surgery

    Source: WEEI.com - Mike Petraglia

New England Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett (thumb) tore a right thumb ligament in the second half of his Week 3 outing Thursday, September 22, against the Houston Texans. He'll 'likely' need surgery for stabilization.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's hard to say whether Jimmy Garoppolo will be ready, but the team could actually go with Julian Edelman at quarterback if he isn't. At least one other report says Brissett won't need surgery and is fine, so we shouldn't take Brissett out of the Week 4 lineup yet.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart ruled out for Week 3

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Ron Rivera said he expects Stewart to miss two to three weeks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Panthers will employ a three-RB committee of Cameron Artis-Payne, Fozzy Whittaker, and Mike Tolbert, making none of them worth consideration except in the deepest of leagues.

CLE - QB Josh McCown out until November?

    Source: USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (shoulder) suffered a non-displaced broken clavicle in a Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and is expected to miss two months. Rookie third-round pick Cody Kessler will start in the interim, while newly signed Charlie Whitehurst will serve as his backup.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCown could have streamer value once he returns, but even in 2QB/Superflex leagues it might be hard to justify holding him through the extended absence. The Browns offense might be in Rams territory with Kessler at the helm.

MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon expected to play

    Source: NFL
Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
McKinnon is a low ceiling RB2 this week. The Panthers run defense is tough, the Vikings run blocking is terrible, and Matt Asiata should get any goal line opportunities that come up for Minnesota. If the Vikings can get McKinnon involved more as a receiver and in space, he could be a nice play.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins questionable

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 3.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watkins is on the doubtful side of questionable, and he has showed us little reason to trust him in our lineups, especially when he'll see Patrick Peterson if he goes on Sunday. The Bills offense is in bad bad shape without a full speed Watkins.

DET - TE Eric Ebron questionable

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron should play and he is a solid TE1 start this week. After scoring in Week 1, he should have had a score last week, but the refs took it off of the board on a phantom offensive pass interference call.

MIA - RB Arian Foster ruled out vs. Browns

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) will not play Week 3 versus the Cleveland Browns due to a groin strain.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's unknown who will get the start for the Dolphins, but Jay Ajayi is the most talented back and he got the most touches after Foster went out last week. Foster's history of return to play timelines after injuries suggests that he will miss at least one more week before returning.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton sits practice, should be fine

    Source: IndySportsCentral.com - Mike Chappell
Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, September 23. Head coach Chuck Pagano said he was rested due to soreness and he'll be fine. Hilton is also being listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 4.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton should draw Jason Verrett, who shut down Allen Robinson last week. Andrew Luck is also questionable, so Hilton is more WR3/Flex than WR1/WR2 this week. If he can't go, Quan Bray would likely get the start.

MIN - TE Kyle Rudolph on track to play

    Source: NFL
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rudolph is a strong play this week after a good start to the season and excellent execution in the red zone with Sam Bradford last week. The Panthers should have given up a score to a wide open Virgil Green in Week 1 and Vance McDonald ran away from their defense for a long score last week.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas not on injury report

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas's hip issue did not seem to materially affect him in Week 2. He said he has been dealing with it for years, so we won't ding him in projections while he's playing through the injury. That he is not on the injury report is a terrific sign for his season-long outlook with this injury.

DEN - TE Virgil Green ruled out

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and has been ruled out for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

John Phillips gets the start, but he's not a viable fill-in. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders could get an extra target or two with Green on the sidelines.

NO - Another missed practice for WR Willie Snead

Source: The New Orleans Advocate - Nick Underhill

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (toe) was absent from practice for the second straight day on Friday, Sept. 23, possibly creating some doubt for his Week 3 availability versus the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We will watch the Saturday practice report closely. Snead is not the type of veteran who can play after not practicing all week. The matchup against the Falcons is a very good one, but rookie Michael Thomas might end up being the receiver who can take most advantage of it if Snead can't go.

SEA - RB Thomas Rawls listed as doubtful

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (shin) has been listed as doubtful for Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fire up Christine Michael as a borderline RB1 in a game the Seahawks should control from start to finish to give Michael the biggest workload of his career.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker listed as questionable

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice again Friday, Sept. 23, and listed as questionable on the team's injury report in advance of the Dolphins' Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Check the inactives on Sunday, but we are assuming Parker was being handled cautiously this week because the team wants him to be preserved for the good matchup against the Browns. After a huge half last week, Parker is a solid WR2/WR3 as long as he is active.

JAX - RB Chris Ivory listed as questionable

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ivory could return to the field this week, but all that would do is render T.J. Yeldon a much less attractive play this week against Baltimore. The Jags have been terrible trying to run the ball this season, so Ivory and Yeldon are both very weak plays in a timeshare.

WAS - WR DeSean Jackson not on injury report

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (ankle, knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson's status seemed shakier early in the week, but he should be ready for the matchup against the resurgent Giants defense. He's a boom/bust WR3/Flex because he is sharing targets with a lot of other viable receivers and Kirk Cousins is still struggling to get the efficiency level he was at in the second half of 2015.

WAS - WR Josh Doctson questionable again

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doctson should go, but only in a limited set of snaps, including in the red zone. He's not worth starting yet, but Doctson is a good high ceiling bench stash whose role should grow as the season goes on.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker questionable for Week 3

Source: The Tennessean - Jason Wolf

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (hamstring) was held out of practice on Friday, Sept. 23, and has been listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Walker has a great matchup this week, but we might not be able to take advantage of it. If he can't go, Tajae Sharpe looks even better against a weak Raiders pass defense.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert to be limited upon return

    Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) will not play in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos per head coach Marvin Lewis and see his snaps limited when he does return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In a best case scenario, Eifert returns next week against Miami, and looks good enough for us to trust him in Week 5 against Dallas. It has been a rough year at tight end, so Eifert should easily slot in as a top five option once he returns.

CHI - WR Alshon Jeffery limited Friday

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) got in a limited practice Friday, Sept. 23, and will likely be deemed questionable for Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds like Jeffery is going to play. If he can't, Kevin White, Eddie Royal, Cole Beasley, Mohamed Sanu, and Michael Thomas are all viable injury hedges at wide receiver. Jeffery has played well through injuries in the past, so if he's active, you have to go with him, even with Brian Hoyer (who fed DeAndre Hopkins last year) at quarterback.

CLE - CB Joe Haden sits out

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (groin) was out of practice Friday, Sept. 23, due to a groin injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

    Sunday Update

LA - RB Todd Gurley feeling overwhelmed Source: Los Angeles Times - Gary Klein

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley said he feels like there are 12 men on the field when he runs because of the way opposing defenses are stacking the line of scrimmage.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's not exactly what you want to hear as a Gurley owner. He's a great back with superstar potential, but the Rams aren't getting the best out of him. Defenses aren't afraid of Case Keenum...and they likely won't be afraid of any other option the Rams can trot out there at QB including no.1 overall pick Jared Goff. We like Gurley as a high-upside RB2 for fantasy owners the way this season is starting...and we hope they can find a way to turn things around.

DEN - TE John Phillips to start at TE

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold

Denver Broncos TE John Phillips will start at tight end in Week 3 in place of TE Virgil Green (calf). TE Jeff Heuerman will also be active for the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Phillips is a big-bodied blocker with little fantasy value. Jeff Heuerman is expected to be the primary pass-catching TE with Green out.

NO - WR Willie Snead a game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (toe) said he will be a game-time decision for the team's Week 3 game. He hopes to play but indicated that head coach Sean Payton will decide on his status.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We are all excited about Snead's upside against the Falcons on Monday night. Get him in the lineup if you can take the chance, but make sure to have an emergency option at the ready just in case. With this injury, it's best to consider Snead a WR3/flex with upside in Week 3.

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

The Miami Dolphins rank 27th in the NFL in rushing, but head coach Adam Gase said he isn't worried about the poor numbers because he believes circumstances have prevented the offense from showcasing its true ability to run the ball.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Dolphins aren't built to run the ball. They should be able to get the ground game jump-started a bit against a poor Browns defense in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian still adjusting

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said QB Trevor Siemian is still adjusting to the speed of the NFL but needs to make better decisions with the ball.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian doesn't challenge a defense with his arm, and he's thrown three interceptions in two games. The Broncos spent a first-round pick on Paxton Lynch in the 2016 NFL draft, and he could get onto the field at some point this year if Siemian doesn't start to play better. Siemian faces a tough challenge against the Bengals in Week 3 in what is his first road start in the NFL.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (calf) was limited during practice Saturday, Sept. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dorial Green-Beckham is a candidate to see his role expanded, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dynasty owners should be watching the big target. Green-Beckham has always had the physical potential to be a top-15 WR in the game. He's far from producing at that level, but his natural talent should have all fantasy owners intrigued.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker unsure about Week 3 status

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch this situation closely as Walker could easily be a TE1 against a Raiders defense that is giving up passing yardage left and right. Have another option ready if Walker can't go.

Source: Denver7 Sports - Troy Renck

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) has already been ruled out for Week 3 against Cincinnati Bengals, but he is optimistic he'll be ready to go in Week 4 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This week the Broncos will turn to Jeff Heuerman as their leading TE. Some could consider him a sneaky DFS play because of his low price. We'd prefer to wait and see here as Heuerman did little of note in training camp.

DET - RB Zach Zenner could be involved Week 3

    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein

Detroit Lions RB Zach Zenner may serve as the team's goal-line back and possibly four-minute back during the absence of Ameer Abdullah, according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions have a three-headed RBBC even without Abdullah on the field. Zenner and Washington will cut into each other's playing time while Theo Riddick should be the lead back. Only Riddick is worth starting, and he's a RB2 in PPR leagues this week. Washington is more of a 'what the heck' flex.

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones only has 13 targets through two games this season after recording 204 last year, and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan doesn't appear interested in changing that approach anytime soon.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Six Falcons have four or more receptions through the first two games, while TE Jacob Tamme has two more catches and three more targets than Jones. Jones is still a WR1 for fantasy owners.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We're not invested in the Cleveland offense -- especially with rookie QB Cody Kessler under center. Crowell is more of a RB3, and Johnson is more of a low-end flex play going forward.

Source: New York Post - Zach Braziller

New York Jets RB Matt Forte is on pace for 472 touches this season, but head coach Todd Bowles is not among those worried about his 30-year-old holding up for the entire season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bowles perhaps should be worried...and savvy fantasy owners should hold onto Bilal Powell tightly. If anything happens to Forte, Powell would take over with a huge workload and RB1 upside.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) is set to return from a sprained right shoulder in Week 3 versus the Philadelphia Eagles, but he will do so in a timeshare with Sammie Coates and Darrius Heyward-Bey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wheaton was on track to return last week, but the team decided to give him some more rest. In his first action this season, we can't yet trust Wheaton -- even as a what the heck flex. The split between these three WRs (Wheaton, Coates, Heyward-Bey) will negatively impact their fantasy value.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz to return in Week 5

    Source: NFL.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) will return to action Oct. 9, during Week 5's game against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Doug Pederson. He has already been ruled out for Week 3's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers and the club has a bye in Week 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz will get plenty of time to recover from this injury. In the meantime, Trey Burton continues to be a sneaky TE play for DFS players.

DAL - QB Tony Romo's recovery on schedule

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Brandon George

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) has begun throwing, and his recovery from a back injury is going well, executive vice president Stephen Jones said Friday, Sept. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We could see Romo back in action for the Cowboys somewhere around Week 8. In the meantime, rookie Dak Prescott will continue to start at QB.

SEA - RB Christine Michael set for 20 carries?

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael is 'ready for a bigger load' against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3, according to head coach Pete Carroll, and Carroll said Michael is ready to carry the ball '20-something times' in a game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The split with Thomas Rawls negatively impacts the fantasy value of both backs. This week against the 49ers, Rawls is doubtful with a shin injury. That makes Michael a potential RB1 in Week 3. Consider him if you need a cheaper RB in DFS, and start him as a RB2 in season-long fantasy.

TB - RB Charles Sims set for big workload?

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Jacquizz Rodgers said he only expects to play when RB Charles Sims needs a breather.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sims could play like a RB1 this week -- even in a matchup against a tough Rams front four. Put him in your lineup as a mid-range RB2 just to be safe. He should dominate the touches in the Bucs backfield.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin set to play

    Source: Seahawks.com

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and he was not listed on the injury report for Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Baldwin had an MRI earlier this week, but it's obvious that everything is good to go now that we are entering the weekend. The 49ers defense was not impressive at Carolina last week and a healthier Russell Wilson should be in position to take advantage of it. Baldwin is a solid WR3/Flex this week.

SEA - WR Tyler Lockett listed as questionable

    Source: Seahawks.com

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lockett is a boom/bust WR3/Flex at best this week, but his ability to get free for a long gain after getting injured last week should give you some confidence if you have to turn to him this week. Russell Wilson is getting healthier and the 49ers matchup is a good one, so Lockett could carry over that momentum from the last drive in the loss to the Rams last week.

    Monday Update

DAL - WR Dez Bryant has knee wrapped, returns

    Source: NBC Sports - Television

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) suffered a right knee injury in the first quarter of the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears. He had a sleeve on his knee and had it re-wrapped before returning to the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The injury looked like it could have been serious but Bryant shook it off and returned.

NYG - RB Rashad Jennings expected back in Week 4

Source: New York Daily News - Ralph Vacchiano

Updating a previous report, New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) said Sunday, Sept. 25, that he understood head coach Ben McAdoo's decision to keep him out. He said his thumb feels better and he is hopeful of returning in Week 4.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Shane Vereen and Orleans Darkwa split the work in the backfield and both scored against Washington this week. Next week brings the stout Vikings defense, so we will probably stay away from the Giants backfield no matter who starts.

SEA - Sprained MCL for QB Russell Wilson?

    Source: MMQB - Albert Breer

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (knee) is believed to have a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee. That is the initial belief after the Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He will undergo further testing.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rookie UDFA Trevone Boykin was solid in relief of Wilson. With a strong defense he could execute a limited gameplan and still give the Seahawks a chance to win on the road against the Jets next week. In a stroke of schedule luck, Seattle has a bye in Week 5.

CIN - WR A.J. Green leads receivers

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green had 77 yards on eight catches Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If you played Green, you'll take it. The Broncos pass defense is going to cause most passing game players to come in under expectations. Next week against the Dolphins secondary that made Terrelle Pryor look like a star will bring better numbers.

CIN - RB Jeremy Hill scores twice

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill rushed for 97 yards on 17 carries and scored twice Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill had been fed the last two times the Bengals and Broncos met, and Cincinnati made him the focal point early, when he had a 50-yard run and a score early in the game. It has been a slow start for him, but Hill should considered an RB2 in a very winnable game for the Bengals against Miami next week.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles has uneven performance

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles went 24-for-38 for 194 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. He also rushed for 17 yards on three carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bortles' fantasy day was saved by Allen Robinson, but otherwise he looked frustrated against the Ravens. He is no longer an everyweek QB1, although the Colts matchup next week could be one to roll the dice with Bortles because of their lack of pass rush and depth in the secondary.

CIN - QB Andy Dalton shaky in Week 3 loss

    Source: NFL.com

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton threw for 206 yards and an interception Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll give Dalton a pass for this one because of the matchup. Miami is up next week and they made Cody Kessler look viable today, so Dalton will earn streamer consideration once again.

BAL - TE Dennis Pitta has decent outing

    Source: NFL.com

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta caught six passes for 42 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pitta is going to be a solid floor PPR tight end play even if he doesn't have a very high ceiling. The Raiders are a good tight end matchup, so if Pitta was your best option this week, he probably will be next week too.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas has 100-yard week

    Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas caught six passes for 100 yards and scored a touchdown in a 29-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Sept. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas had a long score that used his brute size and strength to win the ball in the air and be left as the last man standing when the ball arrives. He should be a WR2 play as the hip issue seems to be behind him heading into a matchup against the sometimes suspect Bucs secondary.

BAL - WR Steve Smith leads team in receiving

    Source: NFL.com

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith caught eight passes for 87 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith is looking better each week, and the Ravens offense will remain pass heavy enough to keep him in PPR WR3/Flex consideration each week. He should be in consideration next week against a Raiders pass defense that was very generous until they faced the Titans today.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders solid in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught nine passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders was off last week, but he and Trevor Siemian riffed early for a pair of scores. The matchup against the mistake-prone Bucs secondary is good enough to make Sanders a WR2 next week.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy records two TDs

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3. He also caught three passes for six yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy was as sudden and explosive as he has been in a Bills uniform, restoring faith as a fantasy RB2 even while the Bills have very little to threaten opposing defenses. With the running back position depleted, he'll still be a worthy RB2 against the Patriots next week.

DEN - RB C.J. Anderson ineffective in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson rushed for just 37 yards on 14 carries Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson wasn't a cornerstone of the game plan, as the Broncos wide receivers were finishing drives and moving the offense. He's still a solid RB1 heading into a tough run defense matchup against Tampa.

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor produces with arm, legs

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor went 14-for-25 for 119 yards and one interception against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3. He also rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on nine carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills offense got back to basics, which included Taylor on some designed runs, one of which went for a score. He's still a low ceiling play as long as Sammy Watkins isn't himself, which looks like it could be the case all year.

ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald catches seven passes

    Source: NFL.com

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes for 60 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzgerald wasn't able to score, but he still showed that he's a high floor PPR receiver as Carson Palmer's clear #1 receiver at this point in the season.

ARI - WR Michael Floyd has solid outing

    Source: NFL.com

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd caught four passes for 65 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Floyd was able to get a decent stat line in the Cardinals futile comeback attempt, but it has been very rough opening to the season for him. He's only a what the heck flex until he and the Cardinals recapture their 2015 second half form.

ARI - RB David Johnson scores twice

    Source: NFL.com

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. He also caught three passes for 28 yards during the game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Johnson didn't get consistent gains early to put the Cardinals in good down and distance situations, but he was able to get going on a distance touchdown and he showed that he is one of the only game script proof backs in the NFL. He's looking like an elite fantasy RB1 heading into a matchup against the Rams.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian solid on road

    Source: NFL.com

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian threw for four touchdowns and finished with 312 yards Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian finally consistently put the ball in places where his talented wide receiver duo could make things happen. This breakout performance comes just in time for a great matchup against Tampa that could push Siemian into streamer consideration.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer struggles in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer went 26-for-50 for 287 yards and four interceptions against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Palmer was a disaster as the running game failed to put him in good down and distances and the receivers couldn't get open downfield. Worries about his game degrading from the preseason aren't going away after this performance against a Bills defense that Ryan Fitzpatrick dismantled ten days ago. Los Angeles and their sometimes strong defense comes to town next week in a game that will test our ability to trust him in our lineups.

GB - WR Jordy Nelson scores twice in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson caught two touchdown passes and finished with 101 yards receiving Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 34-27 win over the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Nelson showed some speed on a long catch and run and his ability to shake free and be on the same page as Aaron Rodgers in the red zone is still intact. Consider him a low WR1/strong WR2 heading into his bye.

CAR - QB Cam Newton throws three INTs

    Source: NFL.com

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton went 21-for-35 for 262 yards and three interceptions against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3. He also rushed for 26 yards and one touchdown on seven carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Newton was thwarted by a Vikings defense that has to be considered among the elite at this point. Newton has a much more favorable matchup at Atlanta next week. This will probably be his low watermark on the season.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy rushes for over 100 yards

    Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy ran 17 times for 103 yards in a 34-27 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Sept. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lacy was able to get rolling in the second half as the Packers were protecting a big lead. Lacy is gaining momentum as the Packers enter an early bye. He's a solid RB2 with room to grow.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs finishes for 40 yards

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs caught four passes for 40 yards against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This happens to even the best WR1's. Diggs was held in check as the Vikings couldn't get anything going in the downfield passing game, but he's still a strong WR2 start against the Giants next week.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers has four TDs in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns and finished with 204 yards passing Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 34-27 win over the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers was on fire in the first half, with help from a resurgent Jordy Nelson. The second half saw the Packers take their foot off of the gas on offense, but Rodgers still goes into the bye on a high note.

DET - WR Marvin Jones strong at WR

    Source: NFL.com

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones caught six passes for 205 yards and scored two touchdowns Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 34-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones got free with a strong stiff arm on one long score and he had a defender fall down on another. He's clearly ahead of Golden Tate in the downfield passing pecking order and should be considered on the verge of WR2 status heading to Chicago.

MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon held in check

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon rushed for 45 yards on 16 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. He also caught one pass for two yards in the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McKinnon's stat line wasn't that impressive, but his tough running against the Panthers strong defense should create some hope for better days against better matchups. The Giants run defense has been difficult to crack, so next week McKinnon is only a flex play.

DET - QB Matthew Stafford solid in Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford threw for 385 yards and scored three touchdowns in his team's 34-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Sept. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stafford was able to take advantage of two plays where Marvin Jones was able to break a long play in part because of a defensive error. The Lions running game was lost without Ameer Abdullah, but Stafford should continue to be the center of the game plan in Chicago next week. He's an everyweek QB1 at this point.

MIN - RB Matt Asiata has quiet Week 3

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Matt Asiata rushed for 15 yards on six carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. He also caught one pass for four yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Asiata was announced as the starter, but he couldn't find room to run behind the ineffective Vikings line, especially after they lost Alex Boone. Jerick McKinnon outplayed Asiata and should get the start against the stout Giants run defense next week.

DET - RB Ameer Abdullah could miss rest of season

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah (foot) could miss the remainder of the season due to a torn ligament in his left foot, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There was a report earlier today that Abdullah could hopefully be back after the Lions Week 10 bye, but it sounds like he is not worth tying up a roster spot to see what happens.

CLE - QB Josh McCown to miss several weeks

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (shoulder) is expected to need two to four weeks to recover from a broken collarbone in his non-throwing shoulder. He wanted to harness the left shoulder and continue playing but the team denied his request.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The doomsday predictions for the Browns offense might have been premature if this report is correct. Josh Gordon's value would be restored if McCown can play in a few weeks, and Corey Coleman, Isaiah Crowell, Duke Johnson, and Gary Barnidge will be viable plays if McCown returns to the lineup.
