5-3 going into OhioSt/Whisky...of course Ohio St never showed any reasons why they were DD favorites. Whisky offense played way better then I expected. I thought the total would cash and I'd walk away with a split. I partially blame alcohol for ruining my winning day yesterday. Alcohol EFFECTS DECISION MAKING...I guess I just wanted to gamble last night. Wish I showed more discipline and laid off...will get em next time. 5-5 -1.8 units on the day

Ducks have been pretty abysmal on the road and the one place Cal has won some respectable games is at home. I'm scratching my head a little on this one...

Why could anyone possibly play Oregon tonight? Or Iowa? The only problem is that cfb can be pretty square- you will find just as many "square" plays that hit as "sharp" plays.

Actually bookies do in fact hand over that info. And sometimes offer juice free wagers to even out the sides. Very common practice.

if I was a bookie, I would too in fact offer out this information to anyone with an ear. whether that info is reliable is laughable. a bookie who would rather have less money is his pocket would in fact offer out credible information of how much money he has on each side and to what % of large bets, small public bets

The object of the "house" is to have even amounts on both sides with no risk of loss. Sit back and collect the juice. It has been very profitable for me to take the other side on such occasions

My point was largely missed. Regardless of how reliable a site is on % wagered on each side, the fact remains that it is better to be against what most public players will pick. Do you know a book in the business of giving away money? Of course not.

Pick 10 people and ask them who they would bet in the phily/minny game sunday. I guarantee 8 or 9 would say Minny. Easy right? Vegas must be missing something right? If it were that "easy" any Tom Dick or Harry could make money betting.

I used to book and I could tell you almost all of the NFL games, just by looking at the line, what side we would need. GL

Oregon pushes in double OT after awful first half. I'll take the push and move on...you guys that have followed my threads know I tend to play "against the grain" as Renegades put it...yes I'm a contrarian bettor, always have been, always will be. Follow the masses of asses otherwise known as Joe public or mush bettors that can't understand how in the hell a banged up underperforming team could EVER cover the point spread against a hot team, clicking on all cylinders etc...I always look for strong situational support in the form of trends and historical history/current events of a matchup for my plays as well as applying basic football knowledge and common sense...all this and I generally manage to stay ahead of the books and win money betting even if it's "grinding" through an entire season at 54-55% clip
