Ragin' Cajuns to win New Orleans Bowl

I jumped on this line as soon as it came out, and unlike Fresno, it's
moving my way. Not that this means anything but there are some
obvious reasons to like the Louisiana Lafayette football team to
pull in a victory at the New Orleans Bowl.. just a short drive,
playing in front of thousands of hometown fans .. this is their shining
moment. Look at their faces, this team is ready to rumble.
Watched them a couple times this year and they are a man's football
team.. not a bunch of girlies like Nevada. The Cajuns have won the
last three bowls in New Orleans.
    Let's make it four.
Cajuns are 7-1 in their last 8 games. Nevada has recent losses
to Fresno State and Air Force.

    Ragin' Cajuns should handle UNR
UL-Lafayette's Elijah McGuire is Sun Belt player of the year; 12 Cajuns earn all-conference honors
Ragin' Cajun fan events for Bowl Week
"devil's advocate" preview on Bleacher Report picks Nevada.
see the holes in his logic.

It is a nothing game. Certainly not worth getting up to watch on the West Coast.

Nevada has had issues against ground games this season, surrendering 179.1 yards per game and 4.8 yards per carry.
Louisiana averages 229.4 rushing yards per contest.
The Linemakers’ lean: Second-year Nevada coach Brian Polian is still looking for a signature victory, and this would be it, but this is also a de facto home game for Louisiana. The Ragin' Cajuns have won the past three New Orleans Bowls and come into this one having won seven of their last eight games (5-1-1 ATS last seven). At a neutral site, Nevada should be -3.5, but there is a huge home edge for ULL here. Look for Louisiana to make it four straight years winning this bowl.

From a matchup standpoint, ULL has the running backs that can chew up
the clock.. time of possession will be key for the Cajuns.
This game is starting at 9:00am Nevada time, so some suspect Wolfpack
won't be awake enough to play at their highest level especially in a hostile
    environment.

nevada had no problemo playing in las vegas- they are playing well- the idea of a bowl game is to get there days ahead- practice do some sight seeing party or whatever, they arent coming in on a bus at 7 in the morning-- you seem to be trying to convince yourself more than anyone else about your bet

yup, that was just something i heard on a cbs sports podcast. it wasn't worth mentioning.
nevada practiced yesterday and had a light walk-off today, some players visited a hospital,
and the team is going to the movies tonight.
there is nothing more to say about this game.

I thought I posted on this game....maybe a diff thread? This is like a LL home game and Nevada might as well be a million miles from home. Fajardo has been around a while and I'm sure Nevada will score but I love LL here

LL owns the line of scrimmage today but its still 10-3? That sack/fumble Broadway took hurt because they were in fg range
