I like the plays except Georgia. I would leave that game alone and play the rest in a moneyline parlay

First, you could never get a parlay play for 10K. You should never mention the actual amount that you intend to wager, because only two things can happen and both are bad. First, you may not have the 10K like you say you do, which is the case most of the time in here. I'm not saying that it is with you. Second, if you do, the hackers will have a field day with your bank accounts. It does not take much to find out who you are and everything else about you. Be careful. This happens a lot more than you may think.

Have you set up your account with a casino in Vegas yet. I certainly hope that you do not go out there with 10K cash. The easy way to do it is to pick a casino at a major hotel, set up an account, and wire them your 10K before you go there. That way the money is waiting for you when you get there and people will not notice how much money you are carrying around. Once you get established at a Vegas Hotel and Casino, you will not have this problem.

Here is what you are looking at with your ML plays:

    S.Carolina...-430

    Bowling Green...-280

    Arizona...-3500

    Ohio st...-1200

    Northwestern...-400

    Marshall...-3500

Notre Dame...-4900 (if you can get it)

    Georgia...-330

    Washington...-700

One loss basically finishes you, depending on who loses. A ML parlay, with those teams, would pay much less than even money. You will be severely limited as to how much you can put down on some games. The limit may be 2K, which means that you cannot come close to winning 1K on most of those games. The risk vs reward angle is very poor.

With all due respect to BigDaddy...10k in vegas is not that much money, you don't need to wire it to the book. You can either drop it off to the book when you get there, setup an account and then bet online through that book or just bet it as you go. If you're at any major sports book you won't even have 1 thought that you might get robbed..

I was referring to matters of safety. If someone sees you walking around with 10K, you are mugged. Guaranteed. He appears to be a newby going to Vegas. Take a chasiers check and deposit it with the book, or books that you like. Turst me when I tell you that very little crime that occurs in Vegas ever gets much, if any pub. I am sure you can understand why. It is not like the old days, when you would find a robery suspect in a ditch in the desert outside of town.

You are full of s**t. You have never had 10K in your life, nor do you go to Vegas. Keep out of here. Go back to your other Liberal friends in the Political discussion thread.

LOL You started out so well. You were giving good solid advice in a kind manner, then you just couldn't help being yourself. GOLD!

    FWIW folks.
    1. Carrying 10k around is stupid and only invites trouble. Period. No matter who you are or where you are.
    2. Those moneyline bets are sure to get you broke shortly.
    3. For once I will suggest you take BDQH advice.

Now go take your nap pops!

Micro, you are learning. There may be some hope for you after all. I still want to see you actually post some plays.

How do you guys know if the OP just meant he is starting the season with 10k and not necessarily going to LV carrying 10k?

All I am doing is suggesting some things for a newbe in Vegas. What he decides to do is his decision.

absolutely. but if it hasnt happened to me and ive been a poker player since 08 and a sports bettor since 11. that a lot of times to be walking around with money. if this is some sort of huge issue i would have been robber at least once. but then again, i'm careful.

but i still walk around with money. and i do keep a box at the V poker room. but its unavoidable. i cant go to the V to grab my money everytime a line moves. ive got to grab a quick stack and be at the book before the line moves.

    Thoughts are this.
    1. Parlays generally are for suckers. Some make money on ML parlays. Choose 3 teams with less than -400. Check vegasreaper's thread.
    2. ML bets like -3000 and such are not wise. If you lose one bet, you will need to win so many more just to break even.
    3. Don't talk that you have 10K to gamble with because most people who say that around here are bullshitters. If you want respect, don't claim big bets, even if they are true.

    Hope this helps you GL

Seen guys bet 10K+ per hand on the black jack table. Obviously never flash the cash around especially if you plan on walking off the strip.
I doubt anyone here is that careless. I do echo the ML sentiment with those teams, its high risk low reward.

Vegas is the best, have fun be safe and don't lose what you cant afford. Get some good eats while your there toO!

Hop on Uk-18. It's gone up 2 points and I expect it to rise more. Anything under 21 is strong. Very much improved team playing an inferior opponent, even by UK standards.
