Baccarat players keep track of the "Patterns" that develop as the games progress. If you look at a long history of Baccarat hands, you will notice certain trends that occurred. To keep track of the trends, the casino offers a sheet of paper so that you can mark down the results for a long period and observe the trends.
For example:
P = Player won the hand
B= Banker won the hand
T= Tie (Hands tied)
P P B P P P B B P P B P T P B P P B B P B P B T B B ?
If the trend continues, where the Player hits after the Banker wins twice, then the Player will win the next hand. This is a very simple example, probably not a very good one, but that is the idea....to try and recognize when a pattern or a streak is going to hit.
Sometimes the Player or Banker will win 5, 6 or more times in a row. Can even be 15 times in a row or more. If the trends show that small streaks like this are occurring, you may want to repeat the bet when you think the time is right so that you can hit several times during the streak.
Very profitable players will get in on the action when a long streak hits...letting it ride over and over again and getting out before it changes.
I spent several hours over three days with a man who has developed a very complex system for keeping track of the trends. His system was actually too complicated to learn during the periods I spent with him, but he is able to predict ties and who will win with a fair amount of accuracy.
