Ive had this exact thing happen to me a few years ago at the hands of the Giants aswell

Unreal when you close out an 8th inning down 1 and think you are golden only to see something very improbable happen like this.

How can you even consider pitching to Posey there, especially when you've got a guy on the mound with an ERA of 6 who has given up 19 long balls and a .291 opponent BA this season?

I won on Giants run line lol. It's one of my luckiest wins ever. It's 2-1 after 7 then the bottom of the 8th takes about 6 pitches going 1-2-3. Then drop kick Casilla drills Stubbs in the back before leaving one up for Morneau to crush. Rockies could easily have scored more, but the Giants scraped out of it tied.

I couldn't believe it when they pitched to Posey with a man on and 2 outs. Sometimes you have to get lucky.

Looking at the whole game though, I'm not sure that Giants -1.5 wasn't the right side anyway. They had a lot of chances for a big inning and missed them every time. Hudson pitched a gem.

Apart from the solo shot, the Rockies didn't have anyone reach 2nd base until the 9th.
