Both have underrated starters in Niese and Kluber, Hamels has had problems with the Mets in the past and Weaver is only throwing 85 MPH this year.

I saw him hit 87mph a few times but yeah he is not a hard thrower.

He relies on deception from his odd mechanics throwing across his body more than any pitcher ive ever seen.

But also he has decent movement and a plus curve ball.

Kluber does throw 95mph and has a nice curve and he is improving but he did just throw 9 almost perfect innings so you know there is no possible way he repeats that performance tonight... hes just not "that good"

Orioles will beat the Pirates tonight.

Tillman is not having 2 consecutive poor outings especially against the light hitting Pirates.

Tillman on the other hand is overrated.

Oh and Weaver used to be a strikeout pitcher, the fact that he can't do that anymore is an indication that his 4.95 FIP and 4.86 xFIP and even his conventional 4.11 ERA are not flukes.

i agree Weaver's stuff to begin the season is less than what we have seen from him in recent years but i wouldnt give up on just yet. He's a bulldog on the mound.

His average velocity has been dropping consistently, it is not a coincidence:

    2010: 90.1 MPH
    2011: 89.2
    2012: 88.0
    2013: 86.8
    2014 to date: 85.6

Problem is, the market has caught up to that fact. You're only getting Kluber for +133 (now +119) on the road, and let's face it, the Tribe have stunk so far this year.

I'd congratulate you on beating the closing number, but given you would've gone 1-5 last night and basically gotten your head kicked in all year long doing so, I'd say that's more of an ominous sign than encouraging at this point.

You think Mets FF may be a better bet?

LT do you just take 85% of the dogs on the board each day? You can't beat baseball betting exclusively on favorites but you also can't beat it just taking handfuls of underdogs everyday either....taking a bunch of dogs doesn't make you a sharp

I'm sure he is a great guy, but when you take 6 dogs like yesterday, go 2-8, which amounts to being down 25 units just a month into the season....you are deserving of some needling. Especially when you do long write-ups on your picks and new bettors who don't know any better end up tailing and losing hard-earned money. There should honestly be a mandatory win-percentage to get a write-up sponsored on the free picks section of the web site. A personal pick thread is one thing, but new people to this board might follow him without knowing his record, end up losing money, and then never coming back to the site. It's just bad for business.

I've been a writer on the front page since shortly after the inception of SBR in 2005 and have been writing sports articles basically my entire adult life. I was on SBR front page before I joined the posting forum. I used to win too. So much so that I was in the dreaded tout business for about 11 years, where I had some huge years at who2beton. Even when I started posted plays here in the forum, I started out with with something like 17 or 18 straight winning seasons across all sports (so about 3.5 years). Now I think I have had 2 winning seasons in like the last three years.

is it true that if say the cowboys are playing the redskins...

they tell half their clients Redskins is the play and the other half they tell them that the Cowboys are the play?

It has been known to be done by the biggest scumbags, even a few that are on TV (if Pro Line is even still on). Those guys ruined the industry. Hell, even I was told I was too "nice" with my straightforward recaps when I had bad days.
