    was thinking the same before the game started so laid off. However, it is only the 4th inning...and it is the Cubs against a LAD team that can put down 5 runs just like that.

    Anyways, juice is the amount of money the books makes on a game. The only way to know the juice is to know both sides of line, and then take the difference. That is the juice. So if the Cubs were +285 and the dodgers were -305, then the juice would be 20 points. Also called the "vig", or many times referred to as a "20 cent line." Many books often advertise "10 cents lines." In the case the line would be +285/-295.

    Juice is the difference in the wager to the payout!

    ie: if 50 people each put $110 to win $100 on team A @-110 and 50 people put $110 to win $100 on a team B also at -110.

    Team A wins so the book pays $10500 to punter on team A.

    As $11000 was staked on this game the book takes 500 in juice!
