What is it about Wade Davis that oddsmakers like?

I didn't even pay attention to this game tonight, but I should have. I know Zimmermann has been struggling, but even money given KC's struggles and the fact that Davis is a complete loser gascan? Holy shit, talk about a bad game to miss out on....

Seems like Davis is always getting a tip of the hat from the books. I don't get it. He's got nothing.

Wade Davis has some of the most polarized lefty-righty splits in the league. Simple as that. One of the easiest pitchers to handicap in the league. OPS a full .225 higher against lefties.

    Case in point today's game

So why wasn't he +115 today?

KC reeling, Zimmermann, despite his recent struggles, still 14-7 with a 3.37 ERA -- that's what I'm talking about. I don't get the respect for Davis.

I have bet him against right hand dominated lineups twice this year as a pretty fair dog and cashed both times. Once against Chris Sale and he beat the Sox 1-0.

To be honest I did not even look at the Nats lineup today. Would have been worth a unit starting 5 lefties.

Not paying attention. Got caught up in the Oakland and Detroit games and a few beers.

When -- and how -- did this guy go from hot garbage to literally unhittable?
