let's do the math, phillies/brewers are 6 back of ST LOUIS and 4 1/2 back of lad with 22 left

let's say stlouis goes 12-10, dodgers do same or worse, and the pirates or brewers don't play well enough to make it

phillies would still need to go 18-4 just to tie for the wild card

Impressive breakdown... I'm not a math guy lol

18-4 is actually possible with that pitching rotation
and they would be hot as firecracker going into the
playoffs if they pulled it off.

Not likely but it could happen.

18-4 is possible but highly unlikely for brewers or phillies at this point, brewers could've been 4 back but lost in extra innings yesterday to st louis - that hurt

they would need the dodgers and cardinals to collapse

They would have to depend on all of these teams to play bad is a stretch. The chances are slim to none that this happens. One of these teams will play well enough probably. We do have teams playing head to head also which will make it much harder for this to happen.

what milwaukee mike fails to mention is that the cards going 12-10 would be a better winning % than what theyve currently got for the season

if you think the phils need to go 18-4 (17-4 now) for the rest of the season then you're thinking they win it by three games
