Zvonareva's dead to me thanks to the end of last year so I can't take her.

For some reason I don't have a good feeling about Woz but if I was a futures bettor I'd consider Henin too.

A part of me almost thinks a big dog will take it but I just can't figure out which one. Not very helpful, I know.

I think you mean Hobart, not Auckland. From what I saw of Pavlyuchenkova in Brisbane though I think she´ll have too much power and guile for young Bethanie. Maybe lay her off in-play but I don´t see her winning it outright.

Hi, been following Tennis at a glance for a little while now. I take it that Berdych should be faded in the later rounds of tournaments due to end of last season performance? Looks like he didn't put any effort forth in today's match despite being almost 2-1. Injury or does he just plain suck? Like I said, new with Tennis and haven't had time to read up.

Dokic is still getting over her stomach virus and after her ass whupping the other day, I can't put money on her. Mind you Kuz seems to bomb when she's priced so short lately so I'm staying away. If I had to choose I'd take Kuz but I don't really see the point of touching this match to be honest. Great job on the parlay!

Odds in tennis can be very misleading. Many new bettors make a play on the name or the ranking. There's also a reason so many people call Berdych 'Bird Brain'. Not the most mentally strong player out there.

Check out this thread if you get the chance. There are some good tips in there from the regulars in the tennis forum for those starting out with tennis betting. http://forum.sbrforum.com/tennis-han...s-bettors.html

I will be on Soderling, Tommy. I'm not sure Roddick will have many answers for the way Sod is serving and hitting his ground strokes this week.

Mirar, I truly suck at totals. Perfect example: I put Wawa and the over in right before I went to sleep last night. Instead of a decent payout on Wawa, I lost back a lot of it thanks to Berdych not showing up. Gun to my head I'd take the under.

I don't think he's going to win but then again betting on Wawa at this price is a bit insane. Malisse and Wawa winning yesterday seemed impressive as far as the odds were concerned but they were both playing guys who are notorious for spacing out in latter matches so I'm basically ignoring those wins. If I was going to play this one though I'd probably jump on Malisse for a little just for the hell of it and cross my fingers that he can somehow rattle Wawa although I think that will be difficult to do.

Very valid points, my book has just released the spread in which Malisse has a +3.5 handicap so i've jumped on this line for a little extra security. Also with you on Date-Krumm I feel very confident about Soderling today.

That's just more of a gut play for me. I normally like Chak in early rounds but she lost the plot last week against Pervak and I think Errani will be able to capitalise if Chak keeps making mistakes.

I'll also be fading Hantucova's Achilles injury and taking Martinez Sanchez. I wouldn't be surprised if Hantucova withdraws again or retires but either way, Sanchez is smart enough to play the net and make Hantucova run around the court if she does decide to play.

Sanchez is the smart play with current circumstances. Don't think Hantuchova can recover so quickly. Going big.

Soderling takes the first set 6-3. If Soderling wins I will be up over $2000 for the week. Tennis is so profitable if you have the time to watch the matches and get a feel for the players. I'm between jobs so its easy to watch all the games.

Man Roddick is such a sore loser. Breaking tennis rackets, venting on the line judge and now crying because he doesn't want to play in the rain and making such a big deal over nothing. I know it's dangerous to play but its the way he handlesd the situation lol

Yeah he takes it too far sometimes. Gets to be quite annoying after awhile.

Stak hasn´t been winning a lot recently, although technically a very capable player. I like Becker for this, but he can be annoyingly inconsistent. Are you on this match today? Players are more or less priced at even, Becker a slight favourite.
