people can choose to use bp or not. up to their discretion.....if you dont like bp, thats fine..move on. this thread has become filled with outrageous accusations/assumptions...and filled with instigators which makes it even worst....
bottom line, use bp or not, your choices.... i still have money with them and ive been with them for 3 yrs w/ no issues... just that they pay slow in occasions....end of storyComment -

#388Maybe BP can come forward with the affiliates name as it would make SOMEWHAT sense from a circumstantial angle that an affiliate would want to zero out a winners account.Comment -

#397okay now that we all established that bateman is a shill, can we get back on topic?
richard, i undertand what you said about book's general standing policy regarding non-canceling wagers, but most other books do when the circumstance is special enough to call for it.
even pinny, who was notorious for their refusal to cancel wagers will give the punter a choice of having their wager canceled and their acct closed. which seems to be fine in this case if you did it to bpgambler, b/c as you said he presents a high risk case.
regardless, op going to live chat and demand his acct to be frozen and list of pending bets to be played yet to be canceled seems like a special case to me, and betp should have in this case made an exception for him, since it's not like this will start a massive amount of copy cats asking their acct to be closed.
nobody wants to see a book's position as inflexible on any decision, there should be a bit of human factor built in, esp if you want to become a big book like pinny/bookmaker.
imo, the correct approach in this case was to cancel ALL the wagers (even the nba pending futures bets), refund all cash amounts and close op's acct. there problem solved and headache avoided.
in any case, you owe him what 1k+ net now, just send out a check and get it over w/ b/c this really is start to more reflective of bp's bad business decision perhaps more than it even ought to beLast edited by trixtrix; 06-06-10, 11:28 AM.Comment -

Thanks for getting this thread back on track with a rational and on topic viewpoint.
Something I would really like to see is SBR's findings in this matter. I filed a complaint about this with SBR. Marauders filed a complaint with SBR. The last thing we heard from SBR is that we had clicked on a link on 2+2 Poker Forum which had allowed a hacker to infect our computers with some kind of malicious tracking cookie, and that the same guy had broken into both of our accounts.
That is literally the last thing I have heard from them.
What I would like (and I am sure Marauders would appreciate the same) is some kind of description of SBR's investigation into this matter; what they were shown, what they were told, what information they asked for, what were their conclusions, where this malicious link story came from, etc. In other words, what were their findings with respect to our 2 seperate complaints.
Am I out of line asking for this? Just a brief description is fine by me.
And with that, I am going on a short trip. I will be back in a couple of days (sorry lawsofpower).Comment -

#399I have to go soon, and wish I had more time for this, but I just wanted to mention real quick that I was able to contact the Alvin Ma who committed some hacking crimes in California a few years back. He seems to have no knowledge of BP or of anything related to online gambling. For example, he asked why I don't check the cameras at the casino.
I will clear this issue up as soon as I can.Comment -

#400Great. Two days of not having to hear or read about this nonsense in 4 different sites. Just drop it. If you have a question for SBR, PM them. It is funny how every site that investigated this for you came up with the same conclusion. GET A LIFE man. This is over.Comment -

#406And you post on 4 different forums, make a shitload of posts, and play every single free contest or points contest on multiple forums... A high school bookie could handle all of the action a tinhorn gambler such as yourself could bring. He might be confused if you try to bet "points" though.
You're a broketard who doesn't even have money to deposit online. Posting more about your McDonald's breakfasts is fine, but when men are talking about gambling, just STFU.Comment -

#407Just wanted to add that I was prohibited from posting my story over at Covers. They deleted my post and emailed me saying they wanted to talk to me on the phone first.
Lou from Covers did call me last week. He said that he spoke to Richard about my issue, and that he was satisfied that BetPhoenix did nothing wrong. He said that he could not allow me to come on and post my negative experience with one of his forum sponsors, because without advertisers there would be no forum. I asked him if I could just post my side of the story, with a comment from Lou that he talked to Richard and was satisfied that BP was in the right. He said no, he could not allow someone to post such a story about one of his sponsors.
Simply disgusting. I don't mind at all that people make a business out of promoting sportsbooks, but if somone claims they have an open forum, then it should really be an open forum.Comment
