0-0 draw with Chivas & Puebla. Chivas definitely looked the better side offensively, but lacked any sort of finishing ability. Will take it.

PLAY #15: [MLS] Colorado-Seattle 1st Half OVER 0.5/1 [-120] Five of Colorado's last six on the road have featured at least one 1st half goal. At home, Seattle has seen at least one goal scored in six straight. Their defense will have a little different look tonight along the back with Seattle's Leo Gonzalez out due to yellow cards. Seattle will also make a match-time decision on goal keeper Casey Keller's ankle. Colorado's Conor Casey, the MLS' 4th leading scorer, should be looking to take advantage. Nkufo is back in action up front for Seattle after returning from the World Cup and getting prep time against Celtic in a friendly match. Should help the Sounders attack.

Skipped the Austria match today, wanted to see how that went before I commit to Linz since it's early in the season. That they gave up 4 to Wien shows just how poor their defense is again. At home, OVERs should probably be an auto play with this squad. Will see where the books start setting things.

PLAY #16: [NORWAY TIPPELIGAEN] Honefoss PK/+0.5 [+106] I understand Honefoss is lower on the table than their opponent, Lillestrom, but I tend to think this line works in their favor. Lillestrom have been the kings of the draw on the road in Norway with six in eight matches with just one win and one loss. Honefoss for their part, have been strong at home recently with well worked draws with teams sitting in the Top 7, including Tromso which is #3 in their last home match. They are unbeaten in their last five at home since starting 0-3. Also considering Lillestrom hasn't won a game outright in their last 6 in league play. Draw could be the most likely option, but with Lillestrom struggling with 3 losses in their last 4 competitive matches, I'll take a little conservative approach.

PLAY #17: [CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION] The New Saints +1.5 [-110] A massive home match for the Welsh side here as they host Anderlecht. They play in a smaller stadium, but expect a couple thousand racous fans to root them on today. Anderlecht is obviously the more experienced side when it comes to European competitions having gone through these stages last year and ultimately, playing deep into the Europa League. Still, TSN will be high on confidence after they eliminated Irish side, Bohemians, in stellar fashion with a 4-0 home win. I'm expecting TSN to be looking to keep this 1st leg as close as possible and to not conceded more than a goal if possible to give themselves a longshot chance in the 2nd leg at Anderlecht. The Belgians have played three friendly tune-ups and a league cup match prior to this with all resulting in one goal wins. I think they'd be happy with the same here, confident of finishing the job at home.

Yeah I see the New Saints sticking in there today, as well as Unirea. Everybody seems to forget just how damn solid Unirea is at home.

3-1 Anderlecht wins. Looked like TSN was gonna give it a go scoring early in the 2nd half to cut it to 2-1, but too much class for the Belgians. Ah well.

I probably have nothing today man. Thought about a few, but I really think it's advantageous to wait for the 2nd legs of these matches where you have an idea what has to happen. The 1st legs you might think you have an idea, but in reality it's some of the first real competitive-strategic futbol these teams have taken part in this season ... so you never know.
Rest of today is a real light slate. MLS All-Star game. Dunno. Would always like to see goals there and bet the over, but it hasn't panned out that way recently. This one might though. Thinking about it.

I'm on the over for the All Star game. I think Man U defense still looks a little shaky and the MLS squad was put together just a few days ago.

PICK #18: [EUROPA LEAGUE] FK Rabotnicki +1.5 [-126] Yesterday I stated that it is usually best to sit back and watch the first legs of these ties to see what happens since there can be some unexpected results. I still stick to that mainly, but there are definitely some spots where you can pick out something worthwhile. I see one here with the side from Macedonia. Rabotnicki is already playing in their 5th match in Europe, having tallied three wins and a draw in their qualifying run to this point. Certainly Liverpool is a huge step up in quality, but they are going to get a Liverpool team that won't be trotting out its stars and one that has played just a pair of friendlies in preparation. They drew with Grasshoppers from the Swiss top league and lost 1-0 to Kaiserslautern, a German squad that just bumped back up to Germany's top Bundesliga for the upcoming season. Make no mistake, this is a huge tie for Liverpool even if it's not the Champions League. New manager Roy Hodgson does not want to start off flat. Bringing a youthful squad to their first European tie under a new manager will leave Hodgson open for criticism should Liverpool fall and the press is already waiting to pounce on a Liverpool failure in Europe. I think the Reds are going to be very careful not to get themselves into position where they have to make up ground at home in the 2nd leg of this tie. I think a simple 1-0 result in their favor would do them well and I expect the Macedonians in front of a frenzied crowd to put up a fight. I think a one goal Liverpool win is likely, but would not be surprised to see a draw either.

I love the play, man. Liverpool might take the lead, but Hodgson is that type of manager who will be careful and focus on holding the lead rather than chasing more goals.
Best of luck!

PLAY #19: [FINLAND VEIKKAUSLIIGA] KuPS vs. Oulu OVER 2.5 [-119] Daddy's hungry this morning and has hired a special chef from Europe. Oulu is in a bad run of form right now, losing five straight with four of those yielding multiple goals to the opposition. KuPS home matches have seen the 2nd most goals in the league with 25 combined in 8 matches. The home side has been a bit up and down at home, but has tallied multiple goals in 4 of their last 6. Oulu has yielded 11 goals in their last 3 road matches in Veukkausliiga play and they have also tallied at least one goal on the road in 4 of the last 5. KuPS also gets one of their important cogs back in attack today in midfielder Patrice Ollo who has two goals this season.

PLAY #20: [FRIENDLY] Chivas Guadalajara vs. Manchester United OVER 3 [-105] This one well could just be called Chicharito-palooza because that's why the people will be coming out to watch this one ... well that and Chivas is christening a new stadium. Javier Hernandez aka "Chicharito" made big news in the off-season, signing to move from Chivas to Man U. As soon as that happened, this date became one of the biggest if not the biggest date in Mexico in 2010. This match should have the same feel as the Red Devils match against the MLS All-Stars, being less about prep for the upcoming Premiership start or Chivas' Mexican league play, but all about entertainment and Chicharito! It should be phenomenal as Chicharito will play one half for EACH TEAM. Unheard of, but a fitting tribute to one of Mexico's most popular. Expect his teammates on both sides to try and get him something early to put one in the back of the net for the fans and then I think you'll just see some nice, open futbol after that.
