PLAY #188: [AUSTRALIA A-LEAGUE] NEWCASTLE-CENTRAL COAST DRAW [+237] Central Coast is on the road against Newcastle. Newcastle broke a three match losing streak with two wins against bottom feeding North Queensland. Central Coast has claimed points in seven of their last eight, including a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in November where Newcastle scored a 90th minute equalizer. Coastal has only dropped points twice in nine road matches in A-League play, both coming early in the season. Newcastle have only dropped points twice in eleven home matches. Quite likely neither drops points, so going for the draw.

PLAY #189: [ASIAN CUP] KUWAIT +1 [-113] Lots of scenarios here as the final group stage clashes take place at the Asian Cup. A Qatar win is the most simple formula for the hosts advancing to the QFs. However, a simple draw + a Chinese loss to Uzbekistan would also do the trick. Kuwait has a scenario where they could advance out of the group with a win and a Chinese loss, so they will not come in here hopeless. Prior to their two goal loss to China at the Asian Cup when down a man, Kuwait had gone eleven matches without defeat. Even though the hosts are off an impressive two goal win, they rarely win by more than one goal - only twice in their last 15 competitive matches. Qatar may well win to advance, but I doubt they do it by more than a goal.

Nah I had not looked at much else today and with my latest losing streak, you probably would just want to fade me.

Maybe its time to try the self-fading method to get back on track . Seem to have worked for me, I am having a very good weekend so far. Good luck with your upcoming picks.
PLAY #191: [ASIAN CUP] JORDAN PK/+0.5 [-119] The Jordanians have been the surprise outfit of this group and now need a simple draw against the Syrians to advance to the QFs. Jordan has lost just once in their last nine competitive matches. Syria has fought well and could still advance if things fall correct, but I will side with the Jordanians to earn at worst, a draw, and move on.
Some times it's EZ, not often, but some times. Gonna hit these F-ers today. Happy MLK day.

PLAY #192: [GREECE DIVISION 2] PAS GIANNINA PK/-0.5 [-111]
This is the 1st place club in this division that has lost just one match all season and dropped points in just four of 17 overall. Their defense is stiff to say the least, with just four goals allowed ALL SEASON. They take on Panthrakikos who is hovering in the middle to back end of the table, but are 6-1-1 at home. The thing there is that they have yet to face any of the teams at the top of the table. When they've met teams in the top four on the road, they have lost. Being at home could be an equalizer, but I'll take a shot at the #1 team here that has won five of their last six overall to at worst, earn a draw and a half stakes loss.
Back up in it! 2-0 Giannina. Gonna hit these bastards for one more this afternoon.

PLAY #193: [ENGLAND JOHNSTONE TROPHY] BRENTFORD-EXETER CITY UNDER 2.5 [-111] These two League One residents just met on Friday and played to a 1-1 draw in league play. Brentford was fortunate to snare a point with a 90th minute goal to equalize after Exeter led since the 2nd minute. Brentford has played mostly tight, low scoring affairs in this competition with four matches, all ending with two goals or less. They have yielded just one goal. Exeter meanwhile have flexed more offensive muscle with ten goals in four matches in this competition. Being the first leg of this South final of the Paint Trophy coupled with Friday's result between these two, I expect to see a tight affair with Brentford probably especially hell bent to open defensively after conceding the early goal in their League One match. Rainy conditions could persist here too which might make both sides more cautious about footing.

Things just felt good from Jump Street today. Took some back today after they got me the last couple days. 1-1 final in England.

PLAY #194: [ASIAN CUP] AUSTRALIA-BAHRAIN OVER 2/2.5 [-120] Both squads are alive for advancement heading into this one with different agendas though. The Aussies can progress with a draw, while Bahrain must win. South Korea is likely to advance at the top of the group after beating up India, so these two teams are playing for 2nd. Much like their clash with India, Bahrain will be forced to attack again and considering they conceded two to India, you'd have to like Australia's chances for netting a goal or two today. Bahrain hasn't kept a clean sheet in ten matches. The Aussies are talking a good game here about not being content with netting a draw today and could still get the top spot in the group if they can get a big goal scoring match, so I am expecting some goals here.

I'm taking the over in the S.Korea game I know 4.5 is huge but I'm expecting the goals margin to go at least 2-3 goals above that. O2.5 in the Aussie game IMO is pretty close, maybe 1 goal over or under. gl

Only thing that concerns me about South Korea is a 4-0 final. If they have it at a flat 4.5, I'd go over for a decent price. The split 4/4.5 at my book for higher chalk is not worth it for me. I also hate that these last matches take place at the same time! I liked the staggered starts.

Well this match turned lame. Should have at least gotten two goals. Australia had the goal keeper out of position on a dead breakaway and Cahill boned a header wide of net. Bahrain put a lot of pressure on the Aussies too, but nothing in.
Dam tons of goal opportunities it looked like from the stats..Sitting here between classes and was hoping for some late goal action..Oh well..

yeah it was a sweat, Asian cup is always a sweat.
You like anything else today? I'm thinking of 1 or 2 plays in FA Cup, but I might stick to live because it's so unpredictable.

PLAY #195: [TURKISH CUP] ANTALYASPOR PK/+0.5 [+103] Antalyaspor hosts Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup today with the Lions able to wrap up a spot in the quarterfinals with as little as a draw here. Antalyaspor meanwhile is pretty much done in this competition with just a single point in two matches, even though they are the only team with two matches left to be played. Antalyaspor lost their only home match in this competition to Gazientepspor and earned a road draw against Beypazari Skerspor who stand in third place in the group. Galatasaray should be happy to play for a draw today I think as their away form in this competition historically has been poor with just two wins in their last 13 cup matches. That includes Antalyaspor beating them 2-1 last season. Antalyaspor also sports a solid home mark coming into this with just two losses [both to Gazientepspor] in their last 14.

PLAY #196: [SCOTLAND PREMIER] INVERNESS +1.5/2 [-115] Inverness continues to be undervalued in my estimation as a road squad in Scotland. They have dropped points in just one of eleven matches. Of their seven overall losses, just two have come by more than a single goal. Rangers have had some troubles at home in their last five with a couple losses and a draw to this Inverness squad. Inverness has proven to be a thorn in Rangers side with two 1-1 draws this campaign and they've now taken points from them in three straight matches. Rangers probably get the full points finally, but with the track record here - it could be by a single goal and perhaps at worst by two which yields only a half stakes loss.

Got a little over 1.5 back this afternoon. 0-0 draw in Turkey. 1-0 Rangers win in Scotland. Cluck cluck.
PLAY #197: [ASIAN CUP] UAE PK/+0.5 [+102] Iran is already in the QFs and set as the top of this group regardless of today's outcomes. Iran has already announced they are giving their reserves chances today, so UAE will be getting a little bit of a break in that manner although Iran is still strong. UAE must win today + get help from Korea, so they must attack and must break into the scoring column today. Their defense has been stout at the Asian Cup, yielding only an unfortunate own goal late to Iraq. Given the probability that Iran will be meshing some reserves into the mix while the UAE goes with their normal squad, I think UAE earns a draw at worst and needing a win ... can certainly get it and hope Korea shocks Iraq.

That's not what I've read. Even if Iraq wins and Iran loses, they are tied with six points and Iran beat Iraq, so they own the tie break ... correct? They are locked in against South Korea to my knowledge.

PLAY #198: [FRANCE LIGUE 1] NANCY +1/+1.5 [+101] Nancy travel to take on Ligue 1 leaders Lille. Nancy certainly isn't the strongest French side, but on the road in nine matches, they have only been beaten three times and all were by a single goal. Of course Lille possesses the top attack in the league which has led to a 5-3-1 mark at home where the only blemish is a loss to Marseilles. Three of those five home wins did come by multiple goals. Lille though have trouble keeping clean sheets having conceded in six straight at home. Nancy have only been held scoreless twice on the road. Overall, Lille is on a nine match unbeaten streak, but Nancy has also been pretty solid with results in five of their last six with the only loss by a single goal. Not suggesting Nancy will steal a point even here, but they are capable and based on their results on the road - even if they lose, they probably can keep it to a single goal and earn a half stakes win.

I think they'd rather face Australia than S.Korea. I don't think they care too much who they face at this point though.

PLAY #199: [ITALY SERIE A] INTER MILAN-CESENA OVER 2.5 [-123] Difficult to go away from goals being scored here as Inter is now soaring and scoring under Leonardo in the New Year. Inter has banged home an impressive 12 goals in four competitive matches in 2011. At home, Inter has ten goals in their last three. They still aren't immune to conceding though which should be good here as Inter has given up a goal in each of their last four matches. At home in Serie A, they have just two clean sheets in nine matches. Cesena, the Serie B promotees, are stuck near the bottom and could be heading back down if they don't find points soon. Cesena is scoreless in their last two matches in Serie A. On the road, after a surprising 0-0 draw with Roma in their road debut, they have conceded in seven straight. With Cesena struggling for goals [13 - tied for last], Inter may have to do all the work here, but given their form with Eto'o absolutely on fire, it could easily happen.
