#178I knew who he was months ago.
I didn't bother with it as he was only banned for losing his mind about BigDaddyJames stiffing him, and no one caring about it.
I also thought he was generally honorable and would not have expected him to be a scammer.
Goes to show. Never give a punk an even break eh.Comment -

#181Pretty sad world when you have people openly gloating like that when there are people who finished below him who probably really could’ve used the bump up in rankings/prize money but you know what? Good on him or her. It’s a massive learning lesson for all of us who work here on how to do better and what we should and shouldn’t tolerate. Other than my super important and exciting tennis contestsBTP is the highlight contest of our year and we need to ensure it’s as foolproof and scam free as possible. I used to have to worry about Eastern Euros trying to jack us every year and while it’s a bit sad a forum lifer would do it now, that’s obviously the way things are now so thanks for the heads up and for whomever he is for putting it out there for us to read here. SBR did the right thing I think by paying out this year despite the murkiness around it. It took me a couple of days to come to really think about it and come to that conclusion but any other alternative would’ve been just as bad as one of the fly by night dodgy books we get complaints about. One and done and it won’t happen again in the future.

#182Will sbr make a statement on this?
Always Call Heads's PhotoAlways Call Heads
Today, 01:55 PM
This is a really long story but IAG was unknowingly lured into my jihad of SBR. The jihad is now complete and all scores settled. Karma is apparently a real thing.
SBR has amazingly paid me the 10K for winning the contest despite banning me for doing it.
IAG initiallly gave a NASCAR contest entry thinking I had been banned and did not have an account to use. So was happy to let me put in picks for her as a favor. I won with it. Nothing really wrong so far. It was just $100. Trouble is I also won almost all the other prize money that the morons had already counted as their own with my other entries which she was not aware of. Hard feelings ensued as this was completely unexpected from new and unknown arrivals.
After this success, I then told IAG about BTP and encouraged her to do it. She forgot the first two weeks and said I could give her the picks and she would submit and even let me have the winnings if I placed because she is just that nice and was just not interested enough to remember.
I did a little too good with the entries and one of the NASCAR scumbags over there that pays close attention to me figured out what was going on with me coming up picks for three different accounts. He did not initially mind me being in the NASCAR contest because he liked to compete against me because we despise one another, but he did not count on me beating him soundly with his paid for picks and knocking him completely out of the money when he thought first was his.
IAG was basically inattentive and not particularly aware of what was happening because she was not very interested. She got caught up in it all when the scumbag excitedly jumped out to foil the plan. Unfortunately for him, the moron waited too long and they gave me the prize anyway.
Technically, these were three separate accounts with separate operators in different locations but I was the brains behind all of them when it came to picks. We finished 1, 8 and 30-something in BTP after finishing 1, 3, 4 in the NASCAR contest and landing a grand total of $12,000+ dollars
Given the incredible stupidity and scumbaggery of the likes of PO69 and RooRoo, it was assumed by many of the morons that IAG was running the whole operation which is the last thing she would ever do. They proceeded to try to get her banned and the winnings forfeited.
There is much more to this story but far too long to tell but that is the general idea. Maybe I will go into it later because it is all beyond belief and could not have happened without the help of the Gamblng Gods.

Today,
I hope so
main question on my mind is can you have a buddy on the site and rely totally on him to give you picks and plays in a sbr hockey contest because you're a neophyte who, using my own case for example, cares more about sex than hockey and haven't watched a hockey game since you were an austin icebats vip season ticket holder in the mid nineties?
ps I knew something was up in nascar when iag was rollin' up the field in a couple of races, but didn't say shit b/c my drivers were busy wreckin' themselves when 4 outta 5 were in the top ten of the race with three laps to go (think roval)Comment -

Definitely fishy, but both users went SBR Pro and were not otherwise linked by household. Friends sharing plays is always a tough one and it is why you see the complaint every so often with online sportsbooks, often not black and white. The contests software is being upgraded to thwart this type of activity; hopefully in time for next year, but this does reinforce that changes are needed to the eligibility requirements.
The ruling stands. We will be compensating with a healthy betpoints reward the users in this thread who helped discover what slipped past our radar. Look for this by Wednesday.
To prevent users out there from getting ideas on angleshooting in general, we find it best to lock this topic.

#188as a potential silver lining for sbr, if the business model is based on traffic and "eyeballs," why not let it be the wild west, where we can create and use as many accts as we can find time for, let us all blast away times ten/fifteen ghosts, etc., with everyone knowing ahead of time what the deal is....
traffic would be heavier, advertisers would love the amount of "traffic", and no one could complain about some jackass winning 1st-15th in this contest or that?Comment -

If Derailer came to SBR complaining a book would not pay him due to multi accounting, SBR would ask the book for proof of that.
Especially if it was to rescind a prize after the result was known and when the book had plenty of time to detect this in advance.
If he is so clever SBR can't come up with the same level of evidence a book would be asked for, it would be super hypocritical to not pay the guy..Comment -

But he's just trying to justify himself being a scumbag now.
I didn't kick him off the site and I certainly didn't want SeanOvery to come back, or like him!! There is a thread from maybe 2013 in the nascar forum where I explain in no uncertain terms what a lying scumbag I thought he was. He stiffed me personally. My opinion never changed about him but unlike BuffaloNickle I was man enough to realize it was my own problem and not start blaming SBR or the entire NASCAR forum for not wanting to listen to the crying for months on end.
Anyway, basically, like I said I was wrong.
I thought he was ok, and not a scumbag.
Let him justify himself to his cohorts all he likes. No matter what they say, even they know not to trust him now too..Comment -
