Get real, I'm as broke as the next schmoe.
It's not about giving them money it's about first recognizing the role our race played in the black communities past and currrent struggles. This isn't an admission that you perosnally did anything, even though you continue to benefit from the oppression, but that's an entirely different topic and thread. So first, recognize. this is the hardest step. It's like an alcoholic admitting they're an alcoholic and have no control.
Beyond that, it's making sure their is real equality, not the equality we have today. Look at suppressed wages blacks face, look at at the how much lower their unemployment rate it. Recon, this all comes down to blacks living in and dominating the lower class. This is a class problem. Recognize our role of putting them there and ehat we have done to continually keep them there.
Affirmative action is reverse racism???

Here's the thing about that. Dildo and stained bath towel talk may be offensive but it's equally offensive to all groups of people, is not violent and attacking anyone in nature and quite frankly only a low IQ racist desperate to justify their own ugliness could even twist those two things into being related.

Kraken,seriously i appreciate the honest reply. I just don't see it your way, at all, but we will agree to disagree on this one.
Me personally i didn't have any ancestors in the USA till about 1912 from Europe. They did not own slaves, but if they did, i do not see how i would be responsible for the deeds of them, especially if those deeds were deemed legal and rightful at that time and era.
I tend to look at the WHOLE picture history speaking. African slaves were (and till this day) enslaved by enemy tribes and when the slave trade was an international trade the muslims got involved, Chinese and many other countries utilize slaves to produce goods still and most here in the states refuse to look at how many hours a week we work the take home check and the ridiculous amount of taxes paid to the state, not to mention most here even with finance degrees do not understand how the VALUE of our money was robbed and in essence making us ALL SLAVES TODAY.
Back to black folks though, Blacks have the most opportunity today than ANY other segment of society and this has been so for longer than i've been alive. We can if you wish to notate every special afforded to blacks and no other race if you want, but i think you will agree that it's true they are afforded a great opportunity, they just have to grab it.
One thing is for sure and that's the black communities have become wastelands and so criminal that i don't think these towns will ever be calmed down. Today being poor is equal to being a criminal thug and just 40 years ago being poor had nothing to do with crime at all, why is this?
I believe the problem is cultural and should be approached in this way, what else to loose at this point?

Your examples of black people struggling today are simply looking at the problem incorrectly; poor black people have less opportunity mostly because they're poor. Is there some loss of "opportunity" because some other people are racist? Yup...but drop in the bucket compared to growing up poor. Once again, trying to combat problems caused by poverty by applying racially-biased aid just fosters the racism you imagine to be the problem.
Affirmative action is actually just racism (treating people differently based solely on the color of their skin), but calling it reverse racism helps distinguish it from the kind everyone is automatically opposed to, and hopefully gets people critically thinking about why it would be wise to try to combat racism by being racist
