Real quick, the sharp forecast says Toronto beats Milwaukee 107-85. The public gauge says Toronto wins 102-98.

Against the spread tonight I believe the public gauge will fail and that the line, where it stands, has value.

I think the public is overbought on Milwaukee by just a bit here.

Sharp forecast has Chicago beating Boston 107-103. The public gauge has Boston Winning 107-102.

That's quite a discrepancy and clearly sends some money to the dog, and that's where I sit long term.

But no extra trades, just no time.

Yeah, I'm not screaming "metrics say upset" and things like that, the prediction is what it is and shows value to the dog. But value doesn't always win.

It seems like we saw "value" with Toronto in the first game today already. Further...

The sharp forecast says the LA Clippers beat Utah 108-95. The public gauge says Clippers win 102-98.

Again there's a split with the numbers around the line. And again, there's seems to be value in the favorite with the Clippers.

Money is getting put into the markets, I wonder if it will come out.

The sharp forecast says Washington beats Atlanta 110-105. The public gauge says Washington wins 111-104.

The spread on this first game is pretty tight with but the Total seems a bit low considering the support being offered. I don’t think we see a sudden increase in the Total by game time. Instead, I see the books holding this line low, taking the Over action, and an Under becoming the result.

The sharp forecast has Houston beating Oklahoma City 116-104. The public gauge says Houston wins 116-107.

Both numbers are pretty close to the market in this game with the Total being much closer to the gauge than first game.

Again I have to run out so I posted the forecasts for the first two games. I should be back in time for the final game. Not much more to say, the playoffs are going to be around for a while so patience will be a good idea.

The market is tuning itself a bit on this line, basing its numbers on the last game with the opener and moving away from the forecast, close to the public gauge and the margin of victory in the last game.

Historically adjustments like this lend themselves to the give and take balance of the market.

In other words, GS will probably bounce back from not covering the spread in game one...and this is a game of probabilities.

I have picked up Golden State Warriors -11.5 (-107) over Portland Trailblazers.

The market actually dropped a bit after this post to close at 211. Since the opener, the lowest major trades on this line were at 210.5.

The game ended 109-101.
