or are you saying he is General John Allen's presidential candidate for the 2012 election?

or are you saying that is the official stance of the US military or what?

      sorry, just trying to understand.
I have already posted the link. The members of the military have donated more money to Ron Paul than all other candidates running COMBINED.

No - because he needs to get the Republican nomination.

Any sensible American would choose Ron Paul for 2012. I was behind the man back in 2008 and I will be backing him next year also.

John Bircher Ron Paul will never get the nomination. If he does, the military industrial complex will take him out. They stand to lose hundreds of billions in welfare no bid handouts.

Rick Perry and Mitt Romney have both attacked each other for what was written in their respective books. If either of those books had included a number of overtly racist statements, their candidacies would be over before they started.

The media seems to simply accept that Ron Paul has some oddities in his past and in his inner circle. They take his grandfatherly demeanor at face-value. In part this is because they believe he is not a serious candidate.

Winning the Iowa caucuses would change all that instantly. Undoubtedly the movement that Paul inspired has moved far beyond the race-baiting it engaged in two decades ago.

                                            Some choice quotes:
                                            • "Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
                                            • "We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational."
                                            • After the Los Angeles riots, one article in a newsletter claimed, "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."
                                            • One referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as "the world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours" and who "seduced underage girls and boys."
                                            • Another referred to Barbara Jordan, a civil rights activist and congresswoman as "Barbara Morondon," the "archetypical half-educated victimologist."

Another reason Ron Paul will run into challenges in getting support is:

"He would also scrap the Transportation Security Administration, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security, eliminate corporate subsidies, end foreign aid, and return most other federal spending to 2006 levels. Paul says he would cut the federal workforce by 10 percent, and accept a presidential salary of $39,336- roughly equal to what the average American makes."

"Extending the Bush tax cuts and cutting the corporate tax rate by more than half would make it difficult to balance the budget in three years, even by eliminating five Cabinet departments and cutting waste. The only feasible way to do so would be large cuts to the three big drivers of government spending: Social Security, Medicare, and the military."

Great Bravado Talk about shutting down departments etc...but in reality when he needs to start defending stances such as targeting areas like the military and civilian work forces, and other areas of the country affected by the department shutdowns, and most importantly The Big Two (SS/Med)...he'll need to dig in because he'll get challenged. It's great to talk tough out Big Government, but Ron is going to need to talk people into believing in a pretty aggressive plan....which will be tough. On the other hand, clowns like Gingrich or Romney I don't believe are in touch with the average American either, and the Republicans in general continue to roll out circus sideshow acts to run the country. I think some of the most intriguing people aren't even running.

Sorry Bro...I don't buy into the Paulista's style of pushing Ronnie...but I also don't like the other candidates as well...they truly don't understand what the average American is dealing with. Anyone in this race is loaded...which includes Ron Paul...so I'm not buying that he understands about living paycheck to paycheck either.

Ron Paul has tried since 2001 to disavow racist and incendiary language published in Texas newsletters that bore his name, denying he wrote them and even walking out of an interview on CNN Wednesday. But he vouched for the accuracy of the writings and admitted writing at least some of the passages when first asked about them in an interview in 1996.

Some issues of the newsletters included racist, anti-Israel or anti-gay comments, including a 1992 newsletter in which he said 95% of black men in Washington "are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

Paul told TheDallas Morning News in 1996 that the contents of his newsletters were accurate but needed to be taken in context. Wednesday, he told CNN he didn't write the newsletters and didn't know what was in them.

Paul, who leads polls in Iowa leading up to the caucuses there on Jan. 3, published a series of newsletters while he was out of Congress in the 1980s and 1990s called The Ron Paul Political Report, Ron Paul's Freedom Report, The Ron Paul Survival Report and The Ron Paul Investment Letter.

In 1996, Paul told TheDallas Morning News that his comment about black men in Washington came while writing about a 1992 study by the National Center on Incarceration and Alternatives, a criminal justice think tank in Virginia.

Paul cited the study and wrote: "Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

"These aren't my figures," Paul told the Morning News. "That is the assumption you can gather from the report."
