#178Ladies and gents, Losturmarbles is a great example of someone who gets trapped in one of his claims and now has to worm his way out of it mostly by dodging anyone asking him for a source.
Now, take a seat. This is a thread best left to adults [Since you have to be at least 18 to vote in federal elections].Comment -

#179Yeah I'll vote for him. Gotta say I'm not a huge fan of any potential candidates except maybe hillary but Obama has done a 7.5/10 job, which is good. Especially good considering how inexperienced he was coming into his first term. I think he deserves a second term especially considering it'll be a wartime election.
I read this whole thread btw and SBR has some smart, stupid, to just downright evil bastards posting on it. Very funny read. All in all I think I lost brain cellsComment -

The U.S. is pretty much constantly at war in one way or another.Hell, some people say we've been at war with North Korea since the late 1940s.

You decided to interject by saying factcheck.org was the source that shows that Factcheck is in the tank for Obama.
Of course, you are now dodging the best you can since you can't give a real argument.

#188I can't believe there are so many people here who think Obama is actually helping our economy long term.
Government spending didn't get us out of the Great Depression. It extended it. Why would it be any different now?Comment -

#190America’s economic and political future depends on your view of history. If you still believe that she emerged from the great depression through government deficit spending and stimulus programs, our future will be bright indeed. For our spending today in relation to GDP is staggering and is not far off from our spending of 1941-45. But if you believe that America worked or produced her way out of the Great Depression in exchange for “wealth.” If you believe that the bulging gold reserves of Fort Knox made us the world’s richest nation, then we may soon find ourselves in the position of Great Britain and Europe at the end of World War Two. They were then at the mercy of the generosity of the United States. We will be at the mercy of the People’s Republic of China.Comment -

#194Imagine that, someone has an negative opinion about a website and you try to attack him for it. Why would a left-wing apologist care what someone's opinion of a website was unless that website had a left-wing bias??? Booyah, You just affirmed your own source. Nice job pal!
So, you have no source, just twisted logic. Way to go little one, you are failing worse than a Brock Landers rubberband.Comment -

And China has less than 8% of our debt, so that's not too much of a worry... not yet at leastComment -

#198You've got to have your head examined if you plan to vote for the dumb moron again despite seeing exactly how he handles the job. Voting for him once I might understand, the triumph of hope over reason. Now there isn't even that excuse.
If anyone thinks Obama's economic policies are so amazing, then try this. Go borrow as much money as you can, taking every last penny people are willing to lend to you, and go and spend it on random things you don't need. And then see how wealthy and prosperous that makes you.
If you're not willing to do it on an individual level, what makes you think doing it on a national level will lead to wealth and proseprity? And calling spending on nonsense "investments," doesn't make it any wiser.Comment -

#202havent read much of the thread but...
to the guy who said that the GOP should nominate a "young hotshot"...that won't work. The whole GOP argument on Obama has/will be that he lacks experience, so you can expect they will go with a guy like Romney (who probably won't win).
They have a very little chance of winning, and I plan on dumping my roll on the Democrats at -173 on Pinny for 2012. I expect that Christie or Rubio will run in 2016 and one of them will win. Those 2 are really the only hope for the GOP having the POTUS in the near future, if you ask me.Comment -

#203Strange bet ... 1. You can get better odds on Obama than you can on Democrats .. (Obama is trading at around 1.70+ on betfair right now) do you really think there is much chance it isn't going to be Obama up there ? and 2. I think the odds will move more towards the center when the mud slinging starts ... and with an exchange - you at least have more of an opportunity to trade out of the bet at any time.Comment -

#205I didn't vote for Obama in the last election. Didn't vote for McCain either......Maybe someone may challenge Obama in the Democratic primary (highly doubtful).
I don't see anyone on the Repub ticket that will beat Obama as of now.
I'll probably go third party again.....Can't get myself as a card carrying union member to vote for a Repub for President.
Would be like shooting myself in the foot.Comment -

#210) the economy might fly with Democratic leaning voters arguing on a messageboard but nowhere else.
Remember the "Summer of Recovery", which was a concerted, post-stimulus PR effort trying to spin a recovery in the run-up to the mid-term elections?
Total failure.
Government has gone bankrupt, spending won't go down, and the administration is going to bat in trying to preserve privilege for public employee unions - where workers can't get fired, get automatic pay raises, don't have to contribute to pensions, and are in general the very definition of inefficiency.
This is what we get when we hire a community organizer as President. Disaster.Comment
