I wonder how many "freedom of speech" and "I stand with Kyrie" folks also stood with Kapernick?

Freedom of speech is one thing, taking a knee during our National Anthem at football games and attention whoring is a completely different thing.

I'm still actively trying to find the fountain of youth. Indiana Jones style! I'll share the cup of life with all SBR members as I'm good like that when I find it.

Just like burning the flag, right?

It's all speech. You're just choosing what speech you like or don't like.

Political speech is the essence of freedom of speech.

Burning the American flag should be against the law especially if you are an American citizen. That's very disrespectful to Country, service men and soldiers that lost their lives in past wars. In other Countries you do that you get jailed or executed. Some lines can't be crossed.

I don't think you should be jailed for taking a knee or raising a fist during the National Anthem even though I don't like it.

So despite donating to the Anti-Defamation League and the joint statement with the Nets Irving still didn’t quite produce the apology they were hoping for.

I did not see this coming, seems like Irving made right with at least the Nets, but the story wasn’t over.
Donating to those groups is no different than throwing your money down the toilet.

Bottom line you cannot say anything you want if you work for someone

If your retired or private business owner you can say what you like and even that sometimes you can get in trouble

Yeah, it was clearly for optics but it sure seemed like that could be the end of it the news. I thought they were all moving forward together.

I guess not. Things really blew up on him. I can't tell if the Nets straight stabbed him in the back or not.

It sure feels like it, in some sense. Maybe I missed something.

I fell asleep half way through the movie.so far seems like the movie is just about how the original Jews were dark complected. I don't see that as being horribly anti-Semitic. At the same time I can see that both sides could be right.the jews that claim Isreal right now could be descendants of the real Jews.its possible after 1900 years they mixed with their Eastern European Neighbors and became more white overtime. People have to be open-minded and willing to discuss history and not be so sensitive and claim racism

Lakers star LeBron James spoke on the recent controversy surrounding Nets star Kyrie Irving, who has been suspended and has faced backlash since posting a link to a documentary titled “From Hebrews to Negroes: Wake up Black America!,” a film with antisemitic views.

“I believe that what Kyrie did caused some harm to a lot of people,” James said after the Lakers 130-116 loss to the Jazz on Friday. “And he has since, over the last – I think it was today, or yesterday – he apologized. But he caused some harm and I think it’s unfortunate. But I don’t stand on the position to harm people when it comes to your voice or your platform or anything. So it doesn’t matter what color your skin is, how tall you are, what position you’re in. If you are promoting or soliciting or saying harmful things to any community that harms people, then I don’t respect it. I don’t condone it.”

Irving was suspended for “no less than five games” the Nets announced in a Thursday statement after he initially refused to apologize for his actions, which also included an endorsement of the “New World Order” views held by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

“I can tell you this, it’s simple. Me personally, I don’t condone any hate to any kind,” James said. “To any race. To Jewish communities, to Black communities, to Asian communities. You guys know where I stand. And that’s part of the reason why I didn’t air ‘The Shop’ episode, why we kicked that out of the archives. Because it was hate conversation going on there. And I don’t represent that. There’s no place in this world for it."

Previously, James had scrapped publication plans of an episode of ‘The Shop,’ his talk show, with rapper Kanye West because of antisemitic remarks.

“I hope [Irving] understands what he did and the actions that he took are just harmful to a lot of people,” James said. “I really didn’t get into it too much. But, I understand that when you’re hurting anybody, I understand that. That is just common sense.”

no it shouldnt be against the law as long as you own the flag. if being disrespectful to the military was illegal then ppl could just say anyone that was against a war or anyone talking about war crimes was being disrespectful.

Maybe he just gets frustrated and maybe it's just the feel of social justice movements, but it seems he's more of a divider than he makes it sound.

I don't think you should be jailed for taking a knee or raising a fist during the National Anthem even though I don't like it.
Freedom of speech, dude. You want to criminalize speech that you don't like.

I think Irving and James friendship isn't really there. Irving knows James is a punk. It's one of those... "I'll wave my hand when I see you in Public." But I can't stand you from afar.

LOL HA HA HA HA!! Is this real? Can I get the video of Kyrie saying F U?

Why not ask Kyrie if he'll go down on the owner too? Ridiculous.

Kyrie gonna get reprogrammed if he wants to play for the Nets. I bet Joe Tsai knows all about "education camps".

                                                      Whatever will Kyrie do?

Were these demands issued before the suspension? It sounds like they were issues after.
