Here's the chart...

We're in a strong BUY signal, not out of the woods when it comes to high volatility, but we are functioning on a high level when it comes to the past sets of plays and the SMAs. Other technicals seem promising but we'll get into those patterns, like the "W" as we get it into the rear view mirror. We need to get some distance from that season high head and shoulders pattern. By distance I mean not just number of plays, but number of signals, directional patterns, etc that can help sustain or change market direction. It's our only hope of getting back up to that season high this season.

It's been a good run, let's see if we can find support up here. Feels like a season's worth action already.

I've discussed these other technicals in the past with other market tracking Funds and for those who've been around, I want to point out the alternating market directions following the Bollinger Band patterns (and even the SMA Difference) circled in yellow...

We remain in a short term BUY signal and you can see from just last year moving into this year, these bull runs can really pick up steam.

Here's the zoom shot, we have tremendous momentum here and you can see the resistance of the 200 SMA in pink and the support of the 100 SMA in black, then the 200 SMA became support. While the "support" here may not be very strong here in in this volatility we have made recovery from the previous crash....

The markets can be very volatile and I would expect, as I've said before with nearly all the tracking Funds, that volatilty to get even crazier as sportsbetting is legalized across the US.

Just look above at the 2020 season, from losing -10 units to finising up over +8 units, it was a shortened season.

The current run from the lowest peak after the 1st of 4 plays on Jun 26th up to yesterday's close is up to +19.39 units. That last run from early 2020 through the first part of 2021, the lowest to highest peak in the 2 year chart is +27.76 units. The negative run from that peak in the 2 year chart to our recent season low is -23.16 units

There are bear markets, sideway markets, and bull markets and they can all be measured in various time frames. We can trade and make money in any market.

It is our belief that, despite the shakeouts, we are in a longer term bull run here. We are developing a range between that red support line and the uppermost thick black resistance line. As the season progresses our current outlook for the Fund Backbone wil be upward stepping, as we break resistance and slowly remove the lowest support lines. If we can maintain those ranges, stepping upward, it's a healthy climb.

Unfortunately, we are still likely to see more volatilty as well and let's hope each new suport line stems the drops.

As far as that mountain of a head and shoulders is concerned, we are technically out of it's shadow but until we break that new high it remains paried with the SMA 100 dropping below the SMA 200 to be our only bearish signals. Those SMA's are quickly turning as the 50 will soon break through the 100 but remember they are lagging indicators.

We remain fully funded with a positive season outlook and a short term sideways to downward market.

The key to surviving these markets is having patience and discipline in your money managment. I suggest a seperate bankroll for an Aggressive Trading Fund, similar to the NBA, to vary units at what appear to be market extremes or near them. This is how we run the Funds.

This is how we capitalize on these extremes.

Here's the latest chart, I've kept those support and resistance lines here, in hopes that someone will answer the question I keep asking...How is this possible?

We just barely dipped below the SMA 10 but could find support here, could, but we are far above the SMA's right now so yesterday's prediction of a sideways market is so far true and likely going forward short term...

Some value there with the A's but to be honest I could see Oakland losing there. I could see the backbone edging closer to the light blue line, the the SMA 20.

I'm going to go as far as to say fade it, like last week, but I'll accetp either result with the A's. A win would be something else, really giving the contrarians a further boost, early in the day as well.

I see the A's loss as a more likely scenario, but we remain bullish and fully vested in the backbone, even after this run.

I expect this slightly down to sidewya market and hopefully this time some consolidation brings a breakout.

THing is, those are long term outlooks because, as we've seen, a lot can go down in a short period of time. We have a second half of a season to trade and then the playoffs.

The playoffs are disciplined and almost always profitable. Should this regular season provide a high degree of profit, we may pull some money before the playoffs.

Just like the stock market, it's not what you make the counts, it's what you keep after the bull runs.
