Yes, I like this. I knew the direction of the stock and was trying to make a buck. I was thinking I should have bought more contracts.
I'm not looking to stay too long in these, I tiered them upward. We are right on the bet, so far, but maybe with knowing it was going to rise, I should have sold the puts for premium.

Yes Chucky, it's the KVB MLB Contrarian Fund.
It's been running since All Star break and posted in the Forum, but not under the name.
I mentioned in this thread that I might rotate into another sports fund but I fear we've missed the small run.
Just like stocks, it's tough to buy in after the runs, the problem is, as always, timing.
After all, this fund will profit this year, but it had a nasty run I posted before the all star break. It might still have legs in this positive run yet.
If Texas and Colorado both get redemption tonight, it will have been one nice run since the break. I'll update it later.Comment -

This bet is cancelled. I knew I was missing something. That something was a huge market error. I just acted so fast that, well, no shot taken.
The CFL Sharp Forecast Fund has picked up Edmonton Eskimos -8 (-110) over Montreal Alouettes.
Fortunately, not reporting this didn't change much as you can get 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, even 7.5 juiced a bit at a couple of places, if that's your pleasure.
The CFL sharp forecast, it should be disclosed, would not be a buyer at -9 because it has Edmonton winning by 9 or 10 points, with equal probability. It would be a buyer at -8.5 and a buyer at Montreal +10.5.

What do you think Gold, just sell those options for a small profit on the bounce, or stick to my plan through earnings?
I know it's not much, but you're right, going forward I'm only buying calls as a potential entry point into a stock, at least at these prices; or maybe the multiple calls, with multiple contracts on bumps like these aren't a bad way to generate cash.
Timing is hard, but we give ourselves weeks for it to get right.

Yes Gold, I have plenty to learn, and it's been a while for some of this. Been immersed in sports almost exclusively until recently moving some sports money to stocks, that's when I opened discretionary account, literally for this thread and to track.
I wasn't sure exactly what kind of trading I was going to do here.
Starting to wish I had bought into the KVB MLB Contrarian Fund here, it has been a good play and we are making money outside of this thread.

The CFL Sharp Forecast has beaten the closing spread in every game, with a push in Calgary.
That Calgary -19.5 line shot up, just like the others, but then made it's way back down to close where it opened.

Hamilton has opened a 6 point favorite over Montreal but the CFL Sharp Forecast shows Hamilton winning by 3, 4, 5, or 6 points, all with equal probability.
Montreal will trigger if we see +6.5.
These are very early openers and I wouldn’t be surprise, this week, to see a line move against the forecast as it has beaten the closing line the last two weeks, but we will have to wait and see.

This account has received $100 dividend HIMX.
HIMX has recently been the weakest position in this fund for a while. It is reaching levels where I am going to need to make a decision and I have been bearish of late on this stock, despite sitting on 1000 shares.
One of only a couple of positions down in this Fund, GE being the other.
I have been busy with the MLB Contrarian fund and have held off trading stocks recently, it's hard to do both.
I was supposed to rotate into the MLB Fund with available cash, too bad I didn't it has been on a good run.
There are two CFL games in play tonight.

The CFL Sharp Forecast Fund has picked up Edmonton Eskimos -6 (-110) over Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The Fund also holds Saskatchewan +9 (-110) over Edmonton, bought at the open, and is required to buy at the current market agreement.
The CFL rarely, if ever, middles, but it does push an opener or closer at times.

I just found this thread. Love it. The back and forths with KVB and Coach are excellent. One or two ultra-needy trolls who despise themselves popped in but beyond.....that good stuff!
