"Thick as a brick" is a phrase meaning stubbornly dumb, as one's head is so thick that no new thoughts can enter it. The song starts with Ian Anderson expressing his low expectations for his target ("I may make you feel but I can't make you think") before singing about class structures, conformity, and the rigid moralistic beliefs of the establishment that perpetuates it.

The song follows a young boy who sees two career paths: soldier and artist. He chooses the life of a soldier, just like his father. We see him assimilate into the society he once rebelled against, becoming just like his dad.

I was rooting for Obama in 2008. He turned out to be terrible so I was hoping Romney would get a chance. Nope, the people were fooled again. Anyone other than Trump will certainly have the country worse off in 4 years than the last 4 and the 4 before that.

People deserve a competent president. They haven't had one this century! We are approaching a generation of people that grew up with Bush and Obama. How sad is that. How low can their expectations go?

Long after we are all gone, historians will discuss these last 16 years as the worst in US History when referring to the Washington politicians and the 2 presidents. Let's hope they don't make it 20.

Here is the problem. GOP block 95% of what Barry tried to do. How can you blame him? THey could have not filibustered and block at every possible chance. Then your opinion of him would hold water.. Cant have it both ways.

depends who you believe. The right will tell you that Obama refuses to negotiate. Harry Reid refused to even allow a vote on hundred of bills the republicans submitted. So, I think it's a little of both to be honest. That's why you have a president. A leader. Someone who can unite for a common purpose. For all Americans, not just those that give him money. Some one who gets the job done. Someone who doesn't let 8 years get wasted because of his ego and submitting to his puppeteers.

Maybe Trump won't be good. He can't be any worse. Huge upside though.
