#5042Yeah which became Al Qaeda in Iraq, which became ISIS. Who are the leaders of ISIS, bureaucrats & generals from Iraq. No doubt were arming ISIS, I just don't know how much of it has to do with Obama or the MIC. More than likely some of both, I just can;t say for sure. But their also funded by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, I have even heard Israel, & others.
Your boy in the vid is full of shit. It never was about bring democracy to anyone. If fact why are the American people funding a war in the Middle East to bring them democracy (which is total BS) that we don't have. Its about money, power, oil, & geopolitical strategy. Democracy LOL
Explain to me the geopolitical strategy.Comment -

Now a few months from the start of the games, Rio has given up on keeping those promises.
Outside The Lines’ Bonnie Ford has a thorough examination of the current state of Rio’s water pollution, and things aren’t looking so great. Ford visits several areas in which the water is laden with trash, and describes being overwhelmed by the smell of raw sewage on a few occasions. She also got this quote from the Rio 2016 spokeswoman:“It’s not going to happen because there was not enough commitment, funds and energy,” Rio 2016 spokesman Mario Andrada told Outside the Lines. “However, we finally got something that the bay has been missing for generations, which is public will for the cleaning.
“Nobody wants to have guests at their house and show a dirty house. So if we’re not able to reach the target, we need to keep working until the last minute and make sure that the athletes can compete in safe waters, and we’ve been doing this.”

Trump is the lakerboy of the election. He's always right because he's taken every side of every issue at one time or another. But it's all OK because he wasn't a politician and he's the most brilliant mind that ever existed.Comment -

#5047There are no interviews with Trump in 2003 against the war. It wasn't until more than a year after the war was a failure, in 2004, that he came out against it. It's like switching your pick in the 4th quarter and then claiming you're the greatest handicapper. A total fraud.
I don't give a shit, most everyone was for it, fine, he can change his mind. But just don't be a fukkin liar about it. He's now caught in his lie and he'll move the goalpost.
He'll probably threaten to sue buzzfeed for repeating his interview.Comment -

#5048Sorry not going lay out the Middle East strategy. I may as well write a book. Yes the US used the Arab Spring to destabilize the region. Once again with promises of democracy. I wonder how many of the Neo-Cons were involved in that.Comment -

You're going to blame the neocons for the Arab Spring?
I conceded that they are scum and were involved but this was universally supported by the left, I know because I was strongly opposed to it whilst it was happening.
This was Clinton and Obama's brain child, they own it. Most of the progressives strongly supported it.Comment -

#5051Trump at the last debate: “I’m the only one on this stage that said, ‘Do not go into Iraq,’ ” he asserted. “I said it loud and clear, ‘You’ll destabilize the Middle East.’ ”
When did he "do not go into Iraq". Link the interview. Total lie. We now have one statement about whether to go into Iraq and it is...."yeah, I guess so."
These are facts, folks. Not open to interpretation. Claiming "do not go into Iraq" is a BEFORE not after statement. He claimked he said it loud and clear, but there is not one audio of him ever saying that. The audio was have is "yeah, I guess so." He's caught in an outright lie.Comment -

#5055Was Donald Trump Really Against the Iraq War?
Trump’s prescient opposition to the invasion is an important part of his claim to sound judgment. And he is making it up. I would know.

Trump’s prescient opposition to the invasion is an important part of his claim to sound judgment—but it isn't true.
Baracdk Obama was very clearly against the war. As was Bernie Sanders, Al Gore and Teddy Kennedy. Trump wants so badly to be in that group that he lied about it.Comment -

Now you raise an interesting point, there can always be a higher priority than clean water and air. I happen to disagree, but it is quite clear this is true of the left.
The left wishes to take the immigration burden from the third world without concern on the environmental effects, where as I care more about the environment that I live in and do not wish to see it destroyed due to an excess in empathy.
What's more important to you, immigration from the third world or the environment? Because you can't have both.Comment -

#5060Hillary Clinton is a Neo-Con. As is Victoria Nuland. Many of them still hold spots in the government. Some of the Arab Spring countries are the same one's that appear in the Project for a New American Century. There trying to pull the same shit in the Ukraine now. Part of the strategy.
I'm just not sure how much control Obama has over this whole shit show. I doubt he's pulling the strings, he's not that powerful.
This is a pathetic attempt to carry the water for Obama and the left for backing the Arab Spring and remove their complicity, you should be embarrassed.Comment -

#5067From my recollection it was the Saudi's idea along with Turkey. The whole thing is kinda like a world war where there is a domino effect. From my recollection this really all started between Ukraine and Russia and Ukraine messing around with the gas which they were probably instructed to do by the U.S. which is possible. With that came Russia freezing parts of Europe in the middle of the winter so came about the idea for the construction of a pipeline from Qatar passing through Syria(there is where the Syria problem comes in for now, even though Syria has been in their plan to take out for over 10 years) Iran was gonna run a line off of their coast of the Persian running through Syria also, Assad saw himself in a position of leverage but since Iran is an ally he was cool with their line, the Saudi's didnt like this so they stirred up the Arab Spring with their funding of the Muslim Brotherhood starting in Tunisia, its all been a domino effect, the U.S. went along with it at first but then backed off for a while, during the Spring saw the overthrow of Gaddafi, the U.S. had direct interest in that for other reasons, could go further but this has gotten long, there are a few other reasons for the U.S. involvement also and they are big reasons.Comment -

#5069I know what the word means but not sure what you mean by it. I left out quite a bit of details just writing off the top of my head, Russia has interests because of prior agreements with Iran and they also have a military base off the Mediterranean. Iraq, Iran, and Syria are allied also because all three are ran by Shiites. Hate the whole thing especially the Libya thing and also whats going on in Syria, but the U.S. usually get their man, only ones I can remember them not getting is Castro, they had a hard time with Suharto but finally got him out of there, they will not stop, bunch of insane idiots, but still puppets pulled by something bigger. Oh alot about the Ukraine mess I didnt mention, typical overthrow there, NGO's stirring up mess, been doing it for over 60 years, regime change yadda yadda, U.S. entering more and new markets, big money, hope theyre all happy with the bloodshed not like they care anyway.Last edited by jtoler; 02-19-16, 12:42 AM.Comment -
