#3200ok.. updated record.. failing to meet my goal for the season and every season for that matter, but we are making a few pennies to rub together. 40-31 ATS with 5* plays, 5-6 ATS 10* plays, and 4-3 ATS 20* Titans. 10's and 20's just under performed this season and yes, as many of you pointed out in previous posts, several of these got back doored. But, they are still losses no matter what or how they get to be FINAL scores. I do take a bit of satisfaction in the fact that the large majority of media prognosticators including TV, and major newspapers are significantly below 50% winners. Even the most popular 'tout' sheets you can buy at the local store are down below 50%. It is clear to me that the greatest opportunities remain in the NBA, NHL, College Hoops, CFB, and MLB. The NFL is a league of parity where on any Given Sunday..... No saying not to bet the NFL as there are always solid opportunities and if it continues to make profit then there is no reason not to be involved.Comment -

#3201Opportunities in MLB John?
If you are good at MLB, then more power to you!
To me MLB is probably one of the hardest sports to cap and make a profit in the long run.Comment -

#3203working on the game.. need to see how some of these injuries work themselves through. Brady's shoulder bothers me a bit.. Even though it is not his throwing arm, the pain level can still affect throwing significantlyComment -

#3206Discussion Time:
Check out these ever-popular historical Super Bowl trends/results and see if you think one of these teams will win all four of the categories. As the last one indicates, if we correctly identify that, then we have the winning play.
• Teams that rush for more yards in the Super Bowl are 35-10 SU &
32-10-3 ATS (76%).
• Teams that average more passing yards per attempt in the NFL title
game are 39-6 SU & 33-9-3 ATS (79%).
•
In the 45 previous Super Bowls, the team that has more turnovers
has won just four times SU and six times ATS (13%).
• Teams that win the time of possession battle are 32-13 SU & 31-11-3
ATS (74%).
• Teams that hold an edge in at least three of these four key statistical categories are 37-2 SU & 33-5-1 ATS (87%).
• Teams that win all four categories are 23-0 SU & 21-1-1 ATS. The
only ATS loss occurred in Super Bowl XXXIX in Philadelphia’s ATS win
versus the PatriotComment -

#32121) Regular Season: NE 110 rushing yds/gm vs. NYG 89 rushing yds/gm, Post-Season: 121 yds/gm for NE vs. 117 yds/gm NYG
2) Regular Season: 8.6 yds/att for Brady vs. 7.5 for Manning, Post-Season: 8.6 for Brady vs. 8.4 for Manning
3) Regular Season: NE 17 Turnovers vs. NYG 24 Turnovers
4) Regular Season: NE TOP 28:47 vs. NYG TOP 29:30
If you compare numbers for the entire season then NE appears to have an edge in 3 of the 4 categories. If you just look at the post-season then the edge is neglible. Given these numbers, it isn't obvious to me which team should be favored to win.
But, then again, I'm already on the G-men. I'm just sticking to the facts,as I see them, of course. The Ravens are the only .500+ team the Patriots beat this year, and the Patriots didn't even deserve to win that game. Still, I think the Patriots are a very good team. I just think the Giants are better, and they've shown it by beating 3 very good teams in the playoffs (Falcons, Packers, 49ers). I think the Patriots will be able to score, but I think the Giants will also be able to score, and I think the NYG will pressure Brady enough to cause a few mistakes. NYG 30-27.Comment -

#3213Certainly a lot of space taken up for the right to pronounce New York as the winner in the upcoming game. On the flipside however, I really don't need much space to get the job done or the point across, sort of like Brady's ability to be able to thread the ball into tight spots on the playing field, sort of like threading a needle while blindfolded if you will. You mentioned the Pats didn't deserve to beat the Ravens a couple of weeks ago. Do you honestly think the Giants deserved to beat the Niners two weeks ago as well? I hope not because they didn't. Final analysis: payback is a bitch and the Giants will be Brady and the Pats bitch on Sunday. NE 30-24.Comment -
