Can't wait for NFL, will definitely be in here quite a bit once football season rolls around. Do you have a favorite team that you follow?

Good stuff, Dexy. Not sure if I will do a thread or not myself this year. I've had mostly successful seasons doing it, but it's also a pain, like making sure you record everything when myself I'm somewhat of a last-second decision-maker. Lol.

It is real easy to keep track of your wagers in here. Just use the spreadsheet that they make available.

the spreadsheet is a joke imo BigD....
just tracking your plays in a thread with timestamps is the most accurate to me...
every time i look at someones spreadsheet there are edits.....they may or may not be doing shady accounting, but you cant tell.

in a thread, anyone can track someone if they really care..

anyone want to set it up? maybe we can use betpoints as a buy in?

not sure how about the betpoints....

we need to ping a mod and see i guess....free works as well. its all about bragging rights with fantasy football

I would be down for fantasy football league. I'm down to do one for money or bet points. If you want to do money, there is a site called leaguesafe where everyone can put in money and it keeps it safe, that way you don't have to worry about people not paying or someone running off with the money.

I love fantasy football almost as much as I love betting.

i would rather just do a league for betpoints or at worst free then real $ im already in a couple for $$$ with friends and family...

should i pm a mod and see about the betpoints? if not we can do a 8-10 teamer free league for bragging rights
but 100 points each would be fun, 900 for the winner, 100 for runner up?

already have us 3, only need 7 more people

so we should definitely start looking into what teams have changed coaches/systems and which are moving into the 2nd, 3rd year.

right off the top of my head, the giants should be faded early as they adjust to mcadoo's new scheme....bears should be even better now year 2 under trestman..

just found an article in a magazine i recently bought. "2014 NFL Coaching Changes"....
will read this and post what i think is relevant

Zona offense is gonna be filthy w a improved line, those weapons, 2nd season under Arians, and even tho they in the most brutal div their early season schedule is pretty manageable. Not only are they a good bet most likely there a few gms after their early bye where overs gonna cash like crazy I think..

I was thinking auto OVERs for Bears. The most porous run D last year (last in rush yards allowed, by a lot) with overall 30th rank in yards allowed, also tied for 30th with Washington for points allowed (2nd to last). You know I'm a Chicago guy, but I'm not a Bears fan, so I'm very objective about them. I don't see Allen helping that much with run. Maybe they'll be more explosive both ways, but they are VERY dependent on Peanut Tillman and the ILB core will be challenged.

It should be interesting.

Serious totals question

A friend of mine is going out to place a large Packers OVER win total wager in Vegas. I'm talking between the two of us, risk of over 10k, maybe 12k depending on juice (the number at LVH is 10.5 +125, so it might move or be somewhere for 10 @ -125)

Does anyone know if a sportsbook/casino will comply with a request to print 2 tickets or more in order to not have to worry about taxes/reporting if you cash?

Plus, as I woke up this AM, I realized this: let's say you put a 5k bet in at +125, it hits, and you go back. They return you 6250 +5000 = 11,250. Although your winnings are only 6250, but the ticket cashes for over 10k, do they report it? If so, I'd break it up into 4 smaller tickets.

agreed on the cards and bears Banker & $G.

ellington is an explosive back who they apparently are going to use all over the field, and feed early/often.
the cards defense is supposed to be very good, so im not sure about overs with them. their corners (peterson/cromartie) are shut down, and they were the best in the NFL vs the run last year..

chi went defense 1st 3 picks, and will sutton is legit....they also signed jared allen and a few others, so their defense should be much improved. thinking the bears might make some serious noise this year if these rookies are live out of the gate
