I saw that Chandler was out a few minutes for tip off and threw a half unit on the Hawks -2.5 and Over 191.5. Wanted to bet more but didn't have time to properly cap the game. Just threw it out there based on my feelings towards the game.

Already scoring 6.00 points per minute halfway through the 1st so looks like if it could of been a great play had we been afforded more time.

Think that's what I hate most about gambling sometimes. Not having the time needed sometimes and seeing a ton of plays I would of made but was unable too ....

News reports are that Henderson was working up his team to win tonight so not to be associated with such infamy.

BetUS had a ridiculous line of +5.5...considering the Sac-town cross country trip and all...I had to throw a few bucks on the futile Bobcats.

Hornets/Clippers under (183) 1x (Locked)

Pinny is juicing the under at 182.5 while Legends is hanging on 183 so I am jumping on that with my local that follows Legends numbers. Both teams are among the slowest teams in the league over the season and in the last 5 games. In addition, New Orleans has been playing much improved defense of late with a top 5 DEFF rating in the last 5 games. When you talk about renewed defensive intensity, the Clippers are a great example as they have steadily improved their defensive efficiency as the season has worn on. Both teams play the kind of half court game that is conducive to an under play and the refs are rather neutral so I do not expect an abundance of calls. My model has this game at 180 giving us 3 points of value. I know it's been very difficult to gauge effort in the NBA of late, but I think New Orleans has been one of the few teams that generally gives you a good effort despite being a losing team. I think this is going to be a slow-paced, low-scoring game and I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

I'll take being up $2,000 rather than being down money like 99% of the other chumps out there any day. A disappointing last month of the season to be sure, but money won is money earned and I move on. I'm not going to make excuses and blame the shortened season, condensed schedule and all that. You have to play the cards you are dealt.

Last Tuesday, I was at +11x and went big with two 2x plays that lost. That was what I needed to get me back on track for that +30x goal and instead it knocked me back down to the +5x mark. I will be playing the playoffs aggressively as always, but still within my 1x-5x money management scheme. I suspect I will end the season near or above my +30x goal by the end of the playoffs.

Regardless, thanks to MLB where I am 38-30 = +7.53x on the season so far (http://forum.sbrforum.com/baseball-b...lays-p175.html), I am scheduled to pick up more than $3,000 from my local this Thursday. Bottom line is just like everyone, I go through ups and downs. However, I have never been in the negative for 1 second this entire NBA season. Since December 25th when the NBA season started, I have always been in the green. That alone is better than most.

Think of how many season threads there were at the start of the NBA season? Now there's only a few because they all lost their shirt. However, me and a few others keep going in the black. That's the name of the game and I expect a big playoff push to get me near or above my 30x goal by the time the NBA Championship is over. Let the frauds and haters hate, I will just keep counting my money. Good luck.

While making money is the overwhelming focus for many, I feel this is just the by product of the real value which is entertainment.

I was at a bar a few weeks back while the NCAA March Madness games were going on. A guy said "how can you watch these games without having a team to root for?"

I answered, "put a hundred bucks on one side and see how interested you get!"

That is the hidden value. Anyone that can even break even can have a lot a fun for no expense. Try that anywhere else. Making money is a pure bonus...but an appreciated bonus to be sure.
