At first glance, the 4-9 Lynx +5.5 look like a strong play today. They struggled early on but are 3-1 ATS their last 4 games, mainly because Seimone Augustus came back off injury 4 games ago. Lynx are feeling good winning two straight while NY is coming off two losses. Bad teams win in bunches and I think the Lynx could win this game. The public is hot on NY at 60% so we aren't riding with Joe Public on this one, something I try to avoid.

SJ, you probably know this already, but RoagBettor seems to have a good perspective on the WNBA, including this game. He's recommending the Lynx over even though the line popped up about 7 points from where it opened. Also has the game as part of a 3 team 8 point teaser. His thread is something like how to run $200 to $10,000 in 6 months.

I don't really take too much away from line movement in the wnba since it's so spontaneous and random but the Lynx went from the opening +6 to +5.5 with public on NY as I mentioned above

The Dream Over today of 177.5 sounds and looks way too high. These two teams have never had a total this high. The under looks like a chicken dinner. The public is 65% on the under. I am leaning Over in this game.

you may very well be right but..... Looking at the dreams last few games it looks like all offense and little defense. Last few games the Dream have scored 90 pts and Tulsa has scored over 80 only 2 out of their 5 road games this year and that was at the beginning of the year against Minny and the run and gun team of Phoenix. No game that Tulsa has played with the exception of Phoenix have gone over 178 for the year. For Atlanta only 1 of their 4 home games have gone over 178 while 4 of their 9 road games have gone over 178.

I have a small bet at 15 for the the game to go under 178.5 but it very well may go over as you are leaning especially as it seems the Dream are putting up a lot more points over the past 5 games. I don't know SJ, under seems like the call but as you say it seems like a gift from Vegas, which they never give money away. I wonder if a key defensive person for one or both teams are not playing.

Tip for you guys trying to handicap WNBA on your own, there aren't that many teams in the league. There are going to be a lot of nights when you only have one game. Don't force a play just because it's the only game and you want some action. You will lose a lot of the time and wonder why you bet on a game that you really didn't see a clear edge in.

I am looking at this Washington/Chicago game. The line really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Washington is 8-4 while Chicago is 5-8 (2-4@home) yet Chicago came out favored by 3.5 and has gone up to 4.5 some places It really doesn't make any sense, this line should be a PK or -1 if anything. Connecticut has already beaten Chicago twice this year by 17 on the road and 4 at home.

I think the oddsmakers knows something we don't on this game. It could very well be the fact that Washington is on a rare back to back and they are coming off a win which makes it even harder to win tonight. They had to travel from LA to Chicago. Washington has been on a major heater lately winning four straight but this could be a big trap game for them. Chicago had lost four games in a row but won their last game @ CONN which is not easy to do. They should have a good amount of confidence coming into this game. It is very hard to complete the three game sweep of a team in a season. Bad teams win games in bunches and I think Chicago pulls it out tonight.
