Lots of smaller plays in the first games of each series as I haven't felt really good about anything yet. Tonight, I feel very confident about the Blazers-Suns Over 203. The prospect of going to Portland down 2-0 is a very bad one for the Suns, and its essential that they play a strong game tonight. The Blazers came to game one with the better game plan, but it's unrealistic to expect them to continue to contain such a potent offense for the rest of the series, and especially in this game. The Suns will adapt their approach and find a way to put up the points to win the game. Portland may well hang with them tonight, but it will be on Phoenix's terms.

In my opinion, Miami really doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs, and are headed towards a quick exit. Looking back on their stretch run, they went 9-1 in their final ten games, but not one of those teams had a winning record. They've proven that they can shut down the offense of weak teams, but they were an appalling 13-27 against teams that ended the regular season with a winning record, with 15 of those 27 losses being by a margin of 10 points or more, for an average scoring margin of -4.6 ppg against winning teams.
Based on past matchups, I'm very confident in the 1Q/1H Overs, with the teams playing a faster pace to start. Boston owns the Heat, especially when playing in Miami, and I expect the Celtics to impose their will on Heat on Friday.
The early money was on Miami, moving the line from -3 to -4, but it makes sense Celtics backers to play the line later as it improves. I feel like it's close to peaking at the (+165) I played.Comment -

You do know Wade can beat the Celtics single handedly at home right? He's been doing this in the playoffs for the past 2 years. He single handedly took ATL to 7 last year, and the Celtics aren't much better. Celtics struggled big time on the road in the playoffs last year, don't forget that. My reason for playing the Celtic ML so strongly now is that I feel it's going to be deflated by action tomorrow (before I get up), and I want the best price. I'll be looking for the right line movement tomorrow, and if I don't see it, I might buy the ML play back partially.
And Wade is amazing, I agree, but his team is letting him down. If you remove his stats from the first two playoff games, the rest of the Heat players shot 33.3% and 31.0%. Boston, on the other hand, has had a much more even distribution, with multiple players sharing the load in both games. And I know home court counts for something, but Boston swept the season series against Miami, shooting 52.2% and 53.7% in the two games played in Miami. In both of those games, all five Boston starters reached double digit points.
Wade has averaged 31 ppg against Boston this season in 5 games, and the Heat have lost the games by 5, 6, 7, 10, and 29. They've proven that they're not able to shut down the Celtic offense as they would like, so the game will depend on someone stepping up offensively for Miami. We're either talking about at least 2 of O'Neal/Beasley/Richardson/Arroyo making significant contributions (15+ pts each), or Wade posting 45+. I don't feel like either of those will happen.Comment -
