The trade is an absolute steal.
According to an insider on a Cavs board, the Cavs called the Suns at about 5:30EST and said they were not waiting any longer for Phoenix to decide. Phoenix could not decide so the Cavs went with the Jamison deal.

This deal is a STEAL, I mean Z and 1st round pick(for sure 30th overall) for an all star caliber Jamison. I think teams are now thinking of Cavs a legit contender now. Also Z will go back to CAVS after the buyout.

Jamison is a much better Baller than JJ. Losing big Z might turn out to be a good thing as Varejao will be gettin more minutes now and should be able to gain confidence in his 10-15 foot Jumper.

You don't think Lebron knew about the details of this trade? I'm sure he did.

How could you possibly? They have Lebron who sucks. They should trade him straight up for Gerald Wallace.

Correct sir. Danny Ferry has now pulled off trades for Mo, Shaq, and Jamison and has given up nothing of value. Genius.

The Cavs are expected to win the title now and i would think they cant be beat. They have the best player in the game and a great cast of players around him. Anything but a title would shock me.

Really? You took that seriously?
I'm playing around with mkasad23 who once told me he would pick Gerald Wallace over Lebron James, yet now that the Cavs have Jamison, he likes the Cavs.

Playing the pre-debate expectations game huh? Lower your team's expectations and raise the other team's.

Lebron single-handily doubles the value of the franchise. I think a few extra million in luxury tax is worth it if it keeps the King in town
Also, Gilbert is one of the best and most-involved owners in the league. He loves spending money on this team.

True... Gilbert has to do everything in his power to keep Lebron. If he left the Cav's value would plummet over night. This is the first time I've been satisfied with Ferry. Last year he should have gotten the deal done for Shaq and he was a dime late and dollars short. They should have opened the coffer's last year as Shaq would have brought us a title last year. He learned this year and didn't just sit and wait on Phoenix and got another deal done. Great job by Ferry.
I still think the team needs to address MoWill and Delonte. I don't think Mo is the answer and who know's what will happen to Delonte. Telfair certainly isn't the answer so Ferry really should be looking for a PG that can play defense IMO. Hinrich would be sweet in Cleveland...

Telfair wasn't acquired by choice. It was either pick up his contract or lose Moon or Hickson, so the Cavs took Telfair. Hinrich's contract is pretty bad, there's no way I want him.
You and I differ greatly on Mo and Delonte. I'm happy as can be with the team tha way it is now (although I do want Z to resign).

I guarantee you before the playoffs is over you will see why you can't count on either of them. Delonte could very well be in jail and No Show Mo will show his true colors in the playoffs. I'm not sure why your sold on either of them??? Believe me, the Cav's organization isn't.

I agree with this....Jamison is nothing special. He shoots 45% from the field (pretty bad) and 34% from behind the arc (awful).
The best part of this trade....JJ Hickson remains a Cav.
Leon Powe>>>A Jamison.
Jamison will not see the floor much during the playoffs...Book it.

What'sa not to like about Mo Williams? Or D West for that matter?
Mo wore down last year and had a bad series against the Magic. I doubt that that happens this year.
D West may be in the slammer in June. But I sure hope not. The guy can play the game.
