Mavs look like a good play tomorrow night. They're coming of an embarrassing 4th quarter performance, Dirk was rested and Brooklyn have no one to guard him. The Nets have been great the last few games, but I don't think they can be that good consistently. The more I think about it, the more I like Dallas here and we're probably getting plus odds on them. When do the Mavs ever have a good 4th quarter though? This is par for the course for them.
That said, they have been great off a loss the last couple years. I think someone posted a stat that they were 38-17 ATS their last 55 off a loss or something like that in a recent thread.
The short line seems to further suggest Mavs might be the play. I'll have to think about that one. Same goes for Washington in Phoenix.Comment -

He had a great first month and a half but has been slumping yeah. His FT% is down a lot too (wtf? from like 85% to 70% or something) so it's tougher to trust him in the clutch. The dumbest shit he did was when he took an awful contested 20-footer with 16 seconds on the shot clock or so with 40 seconds to go, up 4, instead of running down the clock, let the Clippers get a 2-for-1 and eventually win the game.
Dallas needs him to be good if they're gonna have any kind of success this year (moderate success obviously, they aren't beating an elite team in a 7-game series).
Mavs just haven't been the same in the 4th since Jason Terry left. Went from one of the clutchest to one of the most prone to choke teams in the league.Comment -

Trends are meaningless, you can easily find trends that support each team in a game and most of them will mean almost nothing. Here are a couple of trends supporting Dallas in case that Brooklyn one worries you - Mavericks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest.
@Seto - Wizards are the best play on the board imo and I agree with the size of the play. Dallas is also a decent play but I can't see anything else worth betting in the nba tonight.Comment -

Books have adjusted the line by 2.5 points after yesterday's game so they might be expecting a Rockets revenge game, or maybe they're just doing this to get balanced action, idk.
