Gary Stevens after the race on HRTV said that the jockey on Wicked Strong (Rajiv) slammed into his horse on the first turn and then swerved into Corey's path on DWF as well...he said it was the roughest Derby he had been in and accused Rajiv of not caring about the safety and welfare of the jockeys or the horses.
Wow...pretty blunt. Sour grapes or legit beef?

Gary was emotional minutes after the race. He had every right too be, but IMO all of that was not the riders fault. Wicked Strong seemed to be ducking around in the post parade as well as while running. He had also done so training the last couple of days but I wrote that off as getting used to the place with all the added activity going on. Seems like he never got totally comfortable with everything.
Some of the blame has to go to the rider and I don't blame Gary for any of what he said but I think that after the race and in the jocks room, he probably spoke to Wicked's rider and watched the replay and while still holding that jock for some of the blame , he might have seen that it was not necessarily all the riders fault.
That's how I saw it but what the hell, Gary was out there so ultimately he would know best.Comment -

I've noticed that on scale which is the only way you can compare they
often differ significantly more often than I would think is reasonable. I'll
