Check the video out in this link of Galore hitting a heavy bag. It's absurd. And Charlie Ward is just the sort of fighter that you can try this crap against because he's basically a pylon with no head movement once round 2 hits. UFC wants a KO from this guy.Comment -

#73Pretty sick skills and speed Galore has. I did some research. Ward's latest win was from takedowns and lay and GnP. That's his key to victory in the fight. Galore has been taken down and held there the whole round in some previous fights. I put a bet on Galore, assuming that he's been practicing his takedown defense. If Galore can keep it standing, it will be an easy win for him with his speed and ability. Galore is on the older side, he's 35. Not sure how old Ward is. I also don't know why Galore had a 2 year layoff. You'd think with his flashiness and crowd-pleasing style he'd keep fighting. Maybe he was rethinking his career choice.

#74I also think betting on Bofando could be a trap. He looks really good in the videos, but why the 2+ year layoff? He's only a -200 fav against Ward who likely isn't UFC caliber, something could be rotten in Denmark here.

#75I'm willing to take my chances. Ward's takedowns in his lay n pray fight were awful. His opponent was trash and even he was sticking a straight jab in Ward's face for the 2nd and 3rd rounds as long as it was standing. With his speed, I don't see Galore being taken down in rounds 2 and 3 and Ward's GnP is awful even if he does get the takedown in round 1. He just buries his head in his opponent's chest and plays it safe. Doesn't posture up and get any real power in it.Comment -

#76Was hoping to bet Calvillo here against Calderwood but don't like the price much at all. Especially with hometown judging, Calvillo may either have to dominate or finish to win since anything remotely close will go to Calderwood. I see this fight going down like Kish/Herrig. Just wish the lines were somewhere closer. Wondering where it ends up. Are Scottish fans going to do enough to move the needle at all closer to fight day? I'm guessing no so this fight is either a pass or a small bet at Calvillo -3.5 if it's reasonable.Comment -

#79I'm not saying I'm going to bet my house on him. Just match up style and experience I think it's more of a tossup not a 2 to 1 either way. I try to find value in underdogs. I can't pay the juice like you Jibby.Comment -

#92You know what doesn't inspire confidence? Charlie Ward. He sucks. If you have fight pass, Bofando's last fight from 2015 is there. He has more than enough for Ward.Comment -

#93I was all over Pedro in Craig's last fight, but that was largely because he has super strong takedowns and would pound on Craig from top position. No way Rountree wants to go to the ground in this one. Craig's sub game is more than enough to catch Rountree. I wouldn't count on Craig consistently outstriking Rountree though. This fight is 100% about whether Craig can take it to the mat (or Rountree gets stupid and ends up on the mat). I'm not sure what I expect but I think it's definitely a dog or no bet kind of fight, especially in Scotland for Craig.Comment -

#96The Bear Jew sucks, IMO. His last fight vs Pedro, his punches and kicks were really slow, he has no head movement, got tagged on the feet with ease. He's not even good at takedowns. Vs Da Silva, he pulled guard in order to get the armbar. Several times he tried the headlock throw against Pedro, you know, the type of throw that inexperienced strawweights do that gives up your back even when it does work. When Craig was down, Pedro easily pinned his arms. OTOH, Rountree has devastating standup, and likely has improved his ground game and takedown defense as shown in his last fight. I've got a bet on Rountree.

#98Yea, good points. Rountree certainly isn't a lock. He had good takedown defense in his last fight vs Jolly. And it seems like he certainly has made improvements in his overall game. But I'm sure Craig will show improvements too given he's coming off a loss where he looked really bad, he's likely working hard.
You're right about Craig's stand up and takedown game. His cardio suffers late in fights too and only makes those parts of his game worse. But he does have a dangerous sub game which makes him a live dog vs Rountree for the simple fact that Rountree quits, and when he does, he gets subbed. Yes, Rountree is more athletic and has much better standup, but his IQ is poor and he has no grit. Also, be careful saying that he has "likely improved his ground game." This has been a weakness for Rountree his whole career and people have been expecting him to fix it for a long time now and he hasn't. Don't believe it until you see it. If you must play Rountree, consider Craig by sub as a hedge, but also robbery decision is a factor in Scotland.Comment -
