so throughout a series your're always betting to win enough to win 1 unit plus your losses. but if the bet has +odds the amount to bet is what youve already lost right? eg on a -110 game bet $33 to recover $30. but bet $30 lost on a +110 game to win $33. so youd not only cover your losses but also win multiple units rather than winning just the one unit. either im having a total brain fart or this has an obvious answer.

I've made the LA bet on the +1.5 runline as the odds seem to be gradually getting worse, JM followers could end up pushing the line quite a bit as the day goes on.

Very true. Right now it is looking like an official bet on the run line. I however am with Wallco on this. I'll play it money line. Yeah the downside of the proper JM system is the high juice and the books that are familiar with his bettors always go for the screw. I'm getting ready to head to the book then to work. No, say my unit size is 100, I will walk through all three scenarios:

#1: All (+money) bets: (+125, +130, +110, +175)
(A) Risk 100 to win 125
(B) Risk 200 to win 260 (net: 260-100=160)
(C) Risk 400 to win 440 (net: 440-300=140)
(D) Risk 800 to win 1400 (net: 1400-700=700)
LOSS = 1500

#2: All (-money bets): (-120, -115, -105, -125)
(A) Risk 120 to win 100
(B) Risk 253 to win 220 (net: 220-120=100)
(C) Risk 497 to win 473 (net: 473-253-120=100)
(D) Risk 1212 to win 970 (net: 970-497-253-120=100)
LOSS = 1831

#3: some (+money) and some (-money): (+115, -105, +110, -105)
(A) Risk 100 to win 115
(B) Risk 210 to win 200 (net: 200-100=100)
(C) Risk 410 to win 451 (net: 451-210-100=141)
(D) Risk 856 to win 820 (net: 820-410-210-100=100)
LOSS = 1576

You should always end up with more than a unit's profit after winning a +money bet. This isn't something that I invented for this system, this is the standard chase bet structure for (+money) and (-money) wagering. If you are only playing to get your money back, or only win 1 unit on the +money bets, then what's the point, except to try to save money. Are we playing to win, or playing to save money. It's not to "bet less" but to "win more" for the same money. I am playing to win.

That would be great. I have a feeling JM is just trying to maximize wins, and not maximize profit. Since he NEVER discloses his +/- unit totals, it is much more impressive for him to advertise 49-1, rather than 44-6, for example. And if played right, the 44-6 could be a higher reward by season's end without all that enormous juice, and playing all +money bets. I could be wrong, but it is definitely worth looking into. TO AVOID CONFUSION NOW, NO ONE TAKE ANY OF THIS AS THE RULE FOR BETTING JM SYSTEM UNTIL I HAVE CONCLUDED ANY BACKTEST AND SHARED ALL MY RESULTS WITH YOU. At that point, you can decide for yourselves. understood. the angels have won 7 out of 12 by 2 or more on away games so far this year, the redsox most recently at home have lost by 2 or more runs only twice.

Also just got the JM email about 20 min. ago. We are going to officially play it and score it as a run line bet. LAA was clearly the underdog at my book and I checked several others. Personally I'm betting it money line at +101 odds. Those of you betting it run line your looking at -210 to -220. GL all

How long is long haha. and why do you say be careful if they just take along to pay out? i'm just trying to explore options to play poker on as well since stars and full tilt are done. definitely not going to do bodog but any other thoughts. many of my poker forums say sportsbook.com is easy pickings because the players aren't very good.

Similar to my system..A -first bet...B- occurs if the A bet loses...C- occurs if both the A + B bet loses...D- occurs if A, B, And C have lost and is the final bet in the series win or lose...

Some systems only go to "c" so be careful when playing multiple systems...read the rules...

You are welcome will be pulling for your plays tonight... I know the pressure of the "c" and "d" bets... I have already had more this year in my system than all of last year...as long as people understand once in a while there can and will be a loss...but hopefully you pull through tonight... I had 3 what I call game #3's/or "c" bets all in one day last week and got lucky they all won...

I don't mind them on +money bets, the reward is a lot higher than 1 unit if we hit. Thankfully, this system, since we started, is up more than enough to cover anyone's loss tonight, should we not prevail.
