LB thread for MLB plays 2010

I'm just going to post this now so I can bump this 30 times when we're all ready to puke for some reason tomorrow: The smartest ML play on this game is no play.

Of course, we're all chronic degenerates in this thread so this is nearly impossible for us, but we'd add a few years to our lives if we just skipped a side altogether. Too hard this game.

U said it Shari. We are degenrates. We will try to find some edge, let it be a mL, RL alt rL , TT, score 1st , side, under, FF, something. But thas what seperates from the normal human beings, we are gamblers

Not really that low. Yankees at home are always a potentially explosive team. Line looks about right to me.

Yep, and I'll be right there tailing whatever it is you and LB decide to play on this one. Except for a side. Your Lee is my Pettitte. Not sure why he hates me so much as I think he'd find me really nice if he ever met me but that dude has cost me a lot of money when I've bet a game he's been involved in. Doesn't matter if I back him or fade him, he screws me over every time like clockwork.

Anyone who has ever visited my tennis thread a couple of times knows that I avoid French players like the plague. May as well take my cash, plant it in my back yard and wait for a money tree to grow. Better chance of that happening than there is of me winning a bet with a Frenchie involved.

LB do you make anything out of how the Yanks RL has moved so much? Is that a sign that they are the play? Also both TT's add to 7 but game total is 7.5 so that makes the over the play right?

Are you letting my secret out bro? I pmed Paco the same thing just a short while ago. I like the yanks as a home dog. The Lee factor is huge but no factor is bigger than the yankee mystique and the yankee umpires.

my bad LB. I think the Yanks will get some breaks tonight and get some runs. Pettite will be his usual self and allow a good amount of base runners but should still be solid. Like the over a little bit.

LB, I like Pettite and the yankee line up tonight. They are the ones that have hit Lee the best all year, and Rangers can't win every single postseason game away either. Its weird because Lee was just an underdog to Rays both times with Price and now we have him as a favorite against a veteran postseason starter.

I see the Yankees taking this game in the later innings over Lee. Lee lost to Yankees on ESPN during season when he was facing Moseley I believe. I see Pettite pitching pretty well tonight.

I mean how do you not take the most winning est pitcher in post season history as a dog at home. Its hard to pass up. But Cliff just owns the yanks. Tough to call. I might just play the under if it goes to 7. Its juiced right now at 7.5.

Yeah Rangers TT is juiced. Under 7.5 is juiced hard but they aren't moving it to 7 yet. I think the over might be the play here. I envision a 5-3, 5-4 game

Road teams have fared well this playoffs but only the yanks and phils have won as road chalk so far. Texas won as road dogs all three times. So did SF 3 times.

Its hard to go against CLiff Lee because he has been so good in the playoffs the past 2 years but its hard to go against big game Andy as well. I think the Rangers will be in the lead or tied after 5 innings and then the yanks will find a way to get Lee out of the game and work on the Texas bullpen and pull it out in the 7th or 8th. How many times have we seen guys pitch well in New York only for the yanks bats to ruin it all by beating the bullpen?

What I like about the Yanks is the Rangers may even hold a 2-run lead in the 7th and the Yanks score 4 in the 8th and Rivera pitches a gem in the 9th and that ends the game. I can't back a road favorite here.

Agree completely. Pettite keeps them in it but gives up his usual few runs. Yanks get some late inning magic again as the pressure gets to Texas late in the game

That's what I'm thinking too. I think Yankees will play hard tonight and get the W. Rays put Lee in some tough situations but Yankees have such a clutch hitting line up. I just can't seem to see Rangers having a better chance at winning this game and being road favs here as well.

Yanks may not get to Lee but if they are able to work his pitch count up early and get into the Texas pen. Yanks at home looks good. I am curious as to how Petitte does tonight.
