#1019I just want to let you know that for May 28th, we have 2 unofficial
betting series if you wish to make wagers on them. These 2 betting
series are unofficial because the RPI difference between the two
teams are just two great. However, do note that we are undefeated
in all unofficial betting series so far this year!
The unofficial betting series are on Baltimore and Houston. Both
will begin at the [A] bets.Comment -

#1028The problem with that is the RPI can change making some plays that would have been official unofficial, and vice versa... if you check each day then you won't place any bets by mistake or anything like that. They will always be posted by someone very early so there is no chance you will miss out
I meant to quote your other post lol
while you're on that subject, if a play is off. on the A bet, and the rpi should change the B & C plays to unoff. status, we're still suppose to continue w/ that series since it started off as off., is that correct? i think we've had 1 situation like that so far.Comment -

#1030Just so I get this right, IF Baltimore or Houston wins tonight then that would be a Version 3 play on Toronto or Cincinnati tomorrow correct?Comment -

#1032Zigo, I disagree that the player should lay off with low odds. The team is destined to win (or lose) regardless of the odds. The bookies adjust odds to encourage or discourage betting on a particular line. They do not always adjust them to reflect the probable outcome. In many cases it is simply a case of reacting to the betting (ie JM system). IMHO, when the odds only reflect the betting, the player should reduce his target, such that his exposure at the C bet is about the same in all series (as in the case of the Cubs). Where I would lay off, though, is when the probability of the swept team avoiding a 2nd sweep is quite low. Therefore, I would recommend the following 2 simple filters to avoid the disaster of the Giants and the near disaster of the Cubs: the swept team must have an RPI greater than the opponent by at least .02 and must be at home. Now, this will reduce betting opportunities but there will be fewer B and C Bets, which means that the series target can be increased, even with low odds, because the probabality of the named team winning one from three is very high. Just my 2 cents. I played the Giants and Cubs, but reduced my target with the Cubs because the odds did not reflect the probable outcome. JM followers clearly pushed the odds down. The Cubs offence played well, Ted Lilley and the outfield were poor. Thankfully, the guy who twice screwed up in the left outfield was the guy who ran in the winning run. His dinner will taste better tonight.
Regards
Kev
kev: they seem like nice acceptable filters.
any thoughts on fading certain teams at times for more plays, when the swept team hasn't met your 2 filters. for instance tonight, w/ the 2 unofficials, both tor. & cinn. have rpi's of .04 & above the swept teams & are at home? Or would the possibility of v3's the next game be a factor?Comment -

Yer i guess so... once a play has been called I think that's it... you chase! What was the situation already?? Either way, when a bet has gone past an A bet, JM has sent the subsequent e-mail out
not sure harry. didn't keep track of the rpi change, but i'm pretty sure there was at least one.Comment -

#1036What's strange is why wait until after Hou or Balt win a game to fade (i.e. V3 system)...why not start tonight and take Toronto and Cincy? Seems like a good idea to start on game 1...I'm on the fade.Comment -
