#1760Yea, playin hockey for awhile took some of the shock out of it. Things should settle down in a week or two.
BTW - Reminds me of a guy I ran bets for here in Vegas. He didn't like to pay high juice. He was down quite a bit when I quit doing it. After 18 months, no profit. I've learned in this forum and this thread that sometimes you gotta pay the juice if you want to make money. The record doesn't reflect that, but it's because I've made some mistakes along the way.Remember, "a pretty record does not mean you'll be cash positive." Keep up transition and in time your record will roll-over for you.
Might have been.

#1764Quick Notes For Wednesday
WA vs PHI
It’s possible the Phillies will be missing Jimmy Rollins and
Jayson Werth as they look to extend their best start in 17 years
in a matchup with the Washington Nationals.
TX vs CLE
The Indians are hoping center fielder Grady Sizemore will return
after missing two games with tightness in his back. Sizemore’s
injury is not believed to be serious, but his absence is noteworthy
because the three-time All-Star once played in 382 straight games.
Justin Masterson (0-0, 1.80) will oppose Wilson after allowing one
run and four hits over five innings of a 5-3, 11-inning road win over
Chicago on Thursday. The right-hander has never started against the
Rangers, pitching 3 2-3 scoreless innings of relief against them over
four appearances.

#1768Rollins has a "Grade 2" calf strain, which usually requires a DL stint. Make no mistake, this guy has been their catalyst this year. Look for Manuel to possibly move Victorino up in the order to the 1 or 2 spot until J-Ro is back.

#1775Now that there is the sign of a great team! Wear down the starter and get to the pen early. Could not have said it better. If the Tigers can keep this up the will win a lot of games this year.Comment -

#1776Feels like I haven't been able to find much of anything these past few days. Seems like anything I think I see when lines come out don't end up being much at all.
I think I need to hear it every now and again and it's more for me than everyone else, but as a reminder, we're still only a week into the season and there is no need to play every game every day. Double check all your info and unless you feel totally comfortable, there is no need to make a play.
Keep up the good work everyone; there seems to be a lot of talented cappers here this year!Comment -

Nope, not unless you call "picking winners" a system. Thats all I really try to do is go with the team that I feel has the best chances of winning. Of course I have many things that I look at before deciding on my picks. TA knows me best here, that I am still new and still learning from all of you cappers, and I am only hoping to gain more knowledge so that 70+% picks is not impossibleTip from me..... #1781Hey Solo,
Agreed. I had the Mets today for with only one or two small factors applying. I saw some of these smart guys taking the other side so I decided no play would be my best move.
Glad to see you here. Guys Solo is the real deal; hope you stick around man. Always good to share insights.
I have noticed here in this thread that TA and I have very different styles. Often when we find a consensus we have a pretty good pick. I think of it of near zero conflict or stars aligning or something like that. I am still trying to figure out TA's methods, but his capping is so complex it can't really be explained. Always a very pragmatic guy. Mine could probably be explained pretty quickly minus the occasional special situation. For example, the Twins playing in their new park the other day against the Red Sox. They used to call me Mr. Friday because I'd track which teams like the weekend and which ones play like it is another day.
All good stuff.Comment -

#1785I cant believe how awful the mets are. The starter for Col is just filling in for Francis for 2 starts, and he's shutting the mets down. 2 hits in 4 innings. my bad betting on those plugs to winComment
